My stream only worked for the first 10 minutes. Most of you say the performance was better, but the BBC report has all of their players marked higher than ours! (Lookman our highest).

Hoping the BBC reporter is not a Wolves fan, and so he marked it as an objective neutral. Any explanation?

Isn’t that done by public votes? Wolves won - they will mark their players higher

West Ham and Wolves are good but not amazing sides. The fact we are so far behind them both is damning.

we know the main reason why we’re so far behind them

Rodgers isn’t being sacked so we are going to have to wait for the players to get back fit and then if he doesn’t push on he will be gone

Oh, thanks I didn’t realise! That definitely explains it!

Good grief, what were you like when Vardy only scored 5 goals in his first season for us :dunno:

Patson has scored 10 goals, 4 assists in 24 appearances on his first season, not a bad return at all

The strikers weren’t great. Neither Daka or Kel got involved enough, not sure what was wrong on that front. I’d probs give Kel a run next game just to see if it makes a difference.

Lookman however, I thought that was one of the best performances from an individual player all season. He looks so so much better on the left. At £15m he’d be great bit of business imo.

.....Playing Nacho as a lone striker does not work, we have seen it over and over and yet we try to implement it in games!!!

Lookman is much better on the left, so where do we use him to get the best out of him. Barnes has the left side nailed down, he is nearly back to his very best and you can see what he brings.

For £15-20m for a squad player, we do not have the money for that as well as a rebuild next season. There is cheaper on the continent that we can bring in along with someone like Berardi for the right.

To me Lookman is very inconsistent, flashes of quality but needs to do it more often. Today was the best I’ve seen him play for us.

He’s consistently good on the ball. His first touch is probably the best in the team. He’s usually been played out of position on the right. He’s been quality for us.

We can’t afford to have one good left sided player. We need two. Lookman’s bonus is he can do a job on the right too. It’s a no brainer for me.

How can you be a massive critic of Lookman tho? He’s been easily one of our best players this season.

I've had a lot of stick on it on this forum in the past few weeks......I just feel he's too weak and had poor decision making.

Just my opinion.....but he's not the answer to our long term problem on that side.

And those 2 ‘key moments’ were shots from outside the box.

...which yet again we failed to close down!!!

It has been a constant problem for us for a very long time and no one seems to have accepted responsibility for closing player down out side our box.

Kasper is good at reflex saves, but he has always struggled with shots from distance, he just seems unable to judge the angle and pace. Pretty much the same problems affect Ndidi in regards jumping and heading crosses inside our box or the opposition. He always jumps too soon and while he is coming down the ball gets to him and he is unable to do anything about the ball.

You would have thought that he would have corrected this by now. Either he does not want to get his head to the ball and he is going through the motions, or it is a glaring flaw the coaches choose to ignore.

I didn’t like him on Thursday (ironically he made two assists) as his output should have been better but he was pretty good today - his o/s pick out of YT being the highlight

We are a baffling team aren't we. Even neutrals don't get us - they want to see the good ol lester back they really do and why not we are scintillating when we are at our absolute best. We haven't found that form this season and are struggling to come even close. Lots of reasons for our struggles and they've all been listed by plenty on here. What is encouraging is every game or so we are starting to see different players showing real form. Today it was Lookman against Randers it was Ricardo etc. KDH has been consistently good. N'didi is suffering the big man needs a kick up the arse. What I'm trying to say is we are not seeing a complete team performance. We have seen our team plenty of times now dropping their levels. When everyone is at the top of their game we will win games comfortably. Everything is difficult for us in this moment and thats how it is sometimes. Can't feel sorry for ourselves the players have to change it around and fast. If they don't things will get even more uncomfortable. Vardy and Fofana and Evans will give us a big boost so we have to use that and get some points on the table. Doesnt matter who we play every game needs 100%.

Maybe just maybe we could try a right footed winger on the right? Barnes with a stronger right back ie. Ricci. may give cover to the defending frailties of Barnes.

So could we try Lookman left Barnes right

So he can be isolated up front instead of daka. Wicked.

That helps his recuperation from injury

Frustrating as I'd say we were the better side for most of the game.

We're not in a relegation battle (nowhere near in my opinion) but we're not gonna finish higher than 9th or 10th sadly.

:(

NInth or tenth was my forecast before the season started. I'm just not very surprised. Very little chance, as you say of being in a relegation battle.

Agree that when Barnes and Lookman play together there should be some switching of the two between right and left throughout the game, BR is so rigid and set in his ways tho he never does things like that. Barnes wound get a more rounded game if he played sometimes on the right and even more time centrally during the 90 minutes.

Wolves were poor. I will be surprised if they make top 6, let alone top 4.
