They (PSG) just keep throwing money at the situation just to see what will stick. It would be good to have a long term plan, where they bring the kids through and become a force. Everything seems to me a short term fix.

Collymore Posted 9 March 2022 Posted 9 March 2022 Been wanting Berardi to join longer than @Mark has been asking for blue shorts. 2

ARM1968 Posted 10 March 2022 Posted 10 March 2022 Nah. Last summer might just about have been ok. This summer price to age balance tipping the wrong way. 1
Clever Fox Posted 20 March 2022 Posted 20 March 2022 Isn't he been chased by Arsenal now. That won't help the price. I haven't seen him play but given his age he'd have to be a success otherwise we end up with another player difficult to move on. There's got to be another Mahrez type out there. Just go and get him before he's noticed by the big clubs. 1

Mahrez came from a nation where immigrant kids, whose sole love was for playing football, in an exhibitional way( a bit like Alves attitude to the way he plays) in a confrontational and competitive environment. We need to be picking them up from there, as opposed to Mahrez who went into a league club (Le Havre) sitting in French league 2. It is really up to us to take the initiative and look to develop from that area, but the need for success in the Premier League forces teams to look for instant success instead of developing from raw talent. I totally agree, We know they are out there because a few come through every year. It's the kids who spend hours playing with friends in back streets or alone against a Wall that develop the Skills necessary to reach the top. I'd be looking in all the underprivileged areas in towns and cities around the world. Particularly South America. Home to so many great players. 1

Mahrez was a bit of a lucky find. A one off in his situation. Besides, we weren’t actually scouting him, our scouts went to the game to look at a different player and Mahrez impressed them! 1

Dahnsouff Posted 22 March 2022 Posted 22 March 2022 Bought this lad on fm22, scored and assisted first game, got sent off next game after being aggressive all game. Get him in. 2 1
The_77 Posted 23 March 2022 Posted 23 March 2022 I love watching Berardi. He knows how to be a total shithouse but is also capable of reining it in: Sasol aren’t the most disciplined team, they rack up a lot of cards and sometimes have trouble staying focused— he’s always talking to his teammates and trying to keep them on track. And the guy makes goals happen. At this point, I doubt he’s our main target anymore but I’d love to see him play a season or two for us. 2
sylofox Posted 23 March 2022 Posted 23 March 2022 If this happens I see a lot of pissed off people on here within 6 months of him signing. 1
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 24 March 2022 Posted 24 March 2022 I would have him here, he plays better for his club then his country judging by the stats
Hales Posted 25 March 2022 Posted 25 March 2022 From a woman's perspective and not at all football related - sign him up 😍😆
Stadt Posted 28 March 2022 Posted 28 March 2022 Amazing none of the big Italian clubs came in for him at 18, he scored 16 goals and got 6 assist in his first Serie A season 2

Sounded like he didn’t enjoy his time there and struggled to adapt away from Sassuolo. For me that’s one of my concerns about signing him. That and his age, for the price quoted make me a little uneasy. That said, think he’s the best player out of the ones we’ve been linked with thus far.
