Vital win but we made such hard work of it. Poor finishing and tiredness second half or a lack of real ambition to finish them off? How a tired and lacklustre Barnes stayed on with a fresh Lookman on the bench I can't quite understand.

They must have been knackered after Thursday credit it to the players ,well happy with that,

3 points 2 great goals can’t complain about that. But why do we always make it more difficult for ourselves than it should be. They always seem to be brought about by substitutions. With the threat of being dragged into a relegation scrap now effectively removed, we really need to sort these problems out.

Controlled first half and scored 2 quality goals.

Tiredness showed 2nd half causing some wasteful and sloppy play, lost concentration at times.

Maddison, Mendy and Iheanacho were the standout players. Great to see Evans back playing.

Really mixed game. Cags was sensational today, really great to see his uptick in form. Evans coming back too is incredible and even though he missed a sitter, Kels was amazing for us with how he held up play.  We also scored some absolute filthy bangers. We looked utterly imperious in the first half and I thought we were gonna win it 3 or 4 nill.

Second half we got sloppy. Kasper, my MOTM, kept us in the game. Even KDH was giving the ball away. Lucky to get away with that. Barnes was particularly woeful but he wasn't the only one.

Still. We won. Now let us pray Kasper isn't injured.

Played well for a decent portion of that game

In classic Leicester fashion however, we decided to make it difficult for ourselves unnecessarily. The Amartey error resulted in the goal, but that was the culmination of 20 minutes where we started turning the ball over stupidly in midfield. I guess he was left on for height at set pieces, but there is no reason why Amartey should be shoved out to right back given the personnel we had available today, it invited trouble down that side.

Mendy, Soyuncu and Iheanacho the top performers for me today. Mendy's willingness to receive the ball made that whole first half knit together.

It was Bren trying to kill two birds with one stone - resting Castagne and getting Evans some minutes.

I think Barnes was injured when his ankle was fallen onto (by Toney, I think) after he cleared the ball from our penalty area, first half...

I think the difference in the halves was due more to them stepping up rather than us falling off. They let us play through them first half. 2nd half, they competed and pushed up on us. We looked good because, in part, they let us.

That's said, we defended well under their predictable chasing of the game.

Missed the game due to it changing to a Sunday kick off.

Watched it at Luton Airport and just saw the final whistle, before boarding.

I'm now going to get blotto in the sun for a few days 😁

That game (or specifically the last 20 mins) showed why we’ve so missed the strength in depth defensively.

We were panicking. Schmeichel had yet again pulled off a couple of good saves to keep them out and they looked like scoring.

Bringing on Evans put a halt to all that. Suddenly we were composed again and didn’t look like conceding unless we made an error. Which came from Amartey.

If Evans hasn’t been on the bench I don’t know if we’d have kept them out much longer.
Oh and Soumare…? So far I just don’t see much of a player in there

Good enough to win even though several players were feeling having played Thursday and today. Then again there's going to be more of that to come. Could have made it easier for ourselves, but take the points and move on. Soyuncu MoM but everyone else put something in.
