Decent recent the performance is good we are out the league so I will take this against 13 men

I take it but it's annoying.

Much better second half absolutely robbed by VAR!

We were robbed but doesn’t matter, ECL is important to us and we have wrecked their chances of champions league lol

It could be so good, thats the frustrating thing.

As Finners said earlier its just a tool to give the rich 6 an extra advantage.

no.. it never could... it will ALWAYS create disagreements... we have made no progress, just removed the power of the ref and the destruction of the flow of the game and celebrations

Alright we get it Lee

Lee do you think he swept his leg away?

🤷‍♂️

The direction he falls is irrelevant when he's had his foot swept off balance. If the balance of your weight is leaning backwards, and your foot is swept sideways and slightly forward, you're falling on your arse. If you think it was a tap and varane purposely moved his leg there then you did not watch it.

Where did I say he purposely moved his leg? Stop making up shit I've said to support your argument. He was falling backwards before the contact, the tap on the leg, which wasn't a sweep whatever you say, was not enough to send him down.

And at the end of the day it wasn't a clear and obvious error, so VAR should never have overturned it.

You are saying that though. I mean you said Iheanacho was facing Varane head on, they were side onto eachother. Just watch the blood replay. You clearly did not.

What are you on about? I'm on about the direction Varane falls. If Iheanacho is in front of Varane and sweeps his leg from the front, Varane would fall forwards, not backwards. Fact is he was losing his balance in a backwards momentum before the slight tap on his leg was made. It wasn't enough to send him down as he was going to fall over anyway. It was a tap, he certainly didn't sweep his leg away.

The fact you think he was infront of him and sweeps to the front shows me you did not pay attention. he was side on and swept it slightly infront of him and to the side. Off balance he actually went to fall forwards, but kept his balance and went to hold his knee, that's when he let his body fall backwards. The foul had already been commited. It was not the leg sweep that caused him to fall backwards. Your analysis is wrong in literally every way.

I disagree with your disagreement :P

For offside goals I think its fair play as thats more factual.

Our second goal was farcical involvement though

Yes, i agree for offside and goal line tech.

but... all decisions are opinion, having another opinion doesnt solve anything

Not really. We were pretty average. It was a bad half of football. We looked okay in certain moments.

Exactly! Us playing around and through them had nothing to with their looking poor. Btw, was our goal an own-goal by them?! lol

There was a clear shot (from a camera on the far side} where Kel hooks his leg and drags it a foot or so, making Varane do a 'half splits' and putting him off balance. He does tap him after that, when Varane's on the floor with the ball almost under his foot.

"playing around and through them" is a massive leap tbh. But even if it were the case that we looked great first half, yes, you can absolutely attribute being able to play the ball around easily to the opposition playing poorly.

I feel if we had more from our fullbacks we could do even better. I question why Castagne was put on the left when he is better on the right. Justin was good but he is not as good going forward as Ricardo.

Overall a good performance. The presence of Evans makes our defence so so much assured. Hope he can stay healthy.

They are side by side, they are still facing the opposite direction, so therefore facing each other. You understand limbs like legs can move around and to the side of where you are stood? So the front of Iheanachos shin contacts the front of Varane shin.

And I have at no point said Varane purposely put his leg there, stop making shit up.

Your pretty dense for someone so cocksure of themselves lol
