Having watched it again.m, I’d say it’s 50/50. It’s not a clear and obvious error for me though. 
 

Does it get given as a foul in other areas of the pitch, not always. Football is a contact game and the world seems to have forgotten this.

Not really if you want to cheat you don't want millions to see it securitizing it.

 

If people genuinely believe VAR is there to cheat the 'little' sides, then I feel for them.
