We can get a taste of what it'll be like to see Gallagher and KDH playing in midfield at the KP before they strike their partnership up next season

 

Same but sod all options to play as an 8 instead of KDH. Soumare has only been back in training for 1 day and short on match time, so glad he's not been thrown in half fit. Rodgers will have to change the system a bit at 60/70 mins to give him and/or Youri a bit of rest.

All we do know is that we have had a horrific injury problem here for 2 years and  a few players have been run in to the ground going deep in to cup competitions and I'd rather not risk it. KDH has become indispensable for us and we so badly need him for Thursday.

No one is superhuman.  Even guys with a motor slow down a little when they're low on gas.  I get the temptation to rely on him when he's been our best player, but at the very least I agree he should be subbed off after an hour at most.

He's also seen Choudhury and Ndidi start at CB ahead of him

 

He may even be 7th choice CB...
