I think you can definitely survive in the Premier League with this style of play if you are satisifed with a 10-15 place finish. I'm not sure you can challenge for the top 6 with it though. We very rarely force an opposition goalkeeper into a difficult save anymore. Our attacking element of the game is just not good enough and we've seen nothing to suggest that will change going forward.

I don’t think the stats tell the whole story from playing position or opponent quality. It’s not been Barnes best season by a country mile, I agree but I wouldn’t sign lookman and sell Barnes. Barnes has the ability to deliver a better shot from the left - some of the goals he has scored have been sublime. Look man’s goals for me have been scored more centrally and usually against arguably lower quality and more tired opponents. I rate lookman don’t get me wrong and we have anazjng strength in depth in the position - probably as good as our right back options but I’d pick Barnes over Lookman long term.

I can see why people get frustrated with Daka but honestly I reckon once he’s had this season and pre-season to get up to speed with the intensity of the prem, he’ll come very good. I see enough there to give me a lot of hope
