The big worry for me is that we go into this one without a win since the second leg in Eindhoven:
 

Newcastle 2-1

Everton 1-1

Villa 0-0

Roma 1-1 

Spurs 3-1

I'd be more hopeful if we were playing well but it's just the same routine averaging less than a goal a game, style of play/managers philosophy creates little to no chances to score.

Think we might start JJ over Timmy based on his performance on Thursday and today’s selection.

Rodgers goes quickly if we lose this, we cannot put our faith in him to rebuild the squad over the summer with his player choices and style of play so far.

 

He's too happy to throw games and expects a free ride from it because in his head he genuinely still believe "we are a young squad still learning" and he still somehow gets away with it week after week.

Imagine if Rodgers plays them today and they aggravated their injuries. Imagine the reactions to that. I'm no 'apologist' (fvcking hate that term) for Rodgers, but he made the right choices today to not play them, with injuries or not. 

 

I hope they're obviously fit enough for Thursday and it's nothing serious regardless.

Roma have lost only one of their last 28 European home games - to Real Madrid - and won 20 of them.

 

If we emerge victorious at the Stadio Olimpico and reach the final, it’ll be one of the club’s all-time great results.

 

I just wish we were going into the game with more players in form… and a manager whose tactics were less predictable.

 

Still, Rodgers and co surprised us once, in Eindhoven. Fingers crossed they can do it again in Rome.

Anything less than winning the competition is a poor season.  

I can just see the Roma game happening though. 

Pass it around the back for about 85mins. 

One decent chance, and it hits the post. 

We miss out on a counter attack goal.
