It’ll taint the title win if he is found guilty.

It’s a difficult situation, as you looked how other clubs have suspended or dropped players accused of similar situations.

he got off the first 2 times because of technicalities not because there was doubt it didn’t happen.

Any decent club would have binned him there and nobody should have been signing him either.

It just shows that the club don’t really care about it. shameful from them

Massive weekend after the internationals. It’s in our hands. Beat palace and nab all 3 points and hope the rest of the results pan out for us we could leap upto where villa is in the table. Take that confidence and win the the next one. Like ranieri once said we go one game at a time. Intensity never drops.

We're 13 points behind them?

Points deduction sounds good to me

Is that likely? Or just a fine/slap on the wrist?

Difference is (despite our dog in the fight) Everton will get punished and Man City won’t - or neither will to justify Man City getting away unscathed.

Relegate them both.

A side note, around the time of accounts being released did anyone else read Villa have lost £500m+ since 2016? How are they getting away with FFP? Whenever I ask that question I get 'Grealish' given as the answer, Yes they sold Grealish, we've also sold several players for high price tags and played by the rules, makes our losses look like small change. Bare in mind they got relegated and spent 3 seasons in the Championship during that timeframe, albeit getting promoted winning the 'most expensive game in the world'.

You can see Everton being made an example of regardless of what happened with Man City. Let's face it, the PL aren't known to be that consistent.

Before we hope the PL actually enforce some rules, for a chance. Are we sure our accounts are in order?

If we are, throw the book at them, deduct lots of points too.

In any other season where Man City aren't under investigation Everton get punished and made an example off. Without doubt.

The fact Man City are under investigation I reckon a blind eye gets shown just so they can justify not punishing them.

It's about time Everton got investigated.

With their high expenditure over the seasons, they've got away with it for too long.

Everton have spent hundreds of millions on average players. If we go down it is entirely our fault. If we finish below them it is entirely our fault.

Can see villa having a quiet window re incomings

last year they had approx €100m in and €55m out which isn’t big

their huge losses occurred 19/20 and 20/21 which I guess have now drifted into history on the three year cycle

I think Everton’s problem is that they made another thumping loss in 2022 post covid after they had their financial losses highlighted as being too high

Especially when you consider where the money came from ……..

With the background of there being an independent review panel, wouldn't be surprised to see the prem make an example of Everton to show they can keep their house in order

How can a club like Everton who have no money (see posted losses) consider spending millions on a new stadium?!!

They’ve spent it mate

spending vast sums on infrastructure are generally long term investments with appropriate funding - they don’t count against ffp and eventually drive additional income once complete - you arent allowed to just cover the losses
