Hopefully better than that other Feyenoord player that flirted with us for weeks before signing for Brighton. Probably features in the dodged bullet thread.

He wasn't playing for Feyenoord at the time, rather AZ Alkmaar.

Leicester open initial talks over a deal for 21-year-old star Orkun Kokcu with midfielder open to Premier League move... but must offload players first with several exits being discussed

Leicester have opened initial talks over a potential deal for Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu.

The Dutch-born Turkey international has been watched by a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal in recent seasons and is open to a move this summer.

Leicester, though, want to offload players first with a number of possible exits being discussed.

Leicester have been following Kokcu's progress for some time and the midfielder almost moved to the King Power Stadium in January.

At the time, the 21-year-old admitted he would be willing to move to the Premier League if it helped Feyenoord's financial situation.

His contract runs until 2025, and he has scored 19 goals in 122 games for the Dutch side.

After my & @Ric Flair wish lists, potentially signing Kokcu & Bourigeaud shows that there’s no need for Martyn Glover.

That was all Ric.

New season, new targets.

Rodgers & co have clearly read Foxestalk, saw my & Ric’s wish lists and thought “These guys are better than Martyn Glover”.

a good bit

Sinisterra and Malacia have already been sold or will be shortly, thats already around 45m in Feyenoords accounts. Kokcu has a contract until 2025 and they won't wanna lose any further first team players this window unless someone comes in with a bid of over 30m.

They'll want as much money as they can get surely. But what do clubs like Feyenoord do?

The chances of them overhauling PSV and Ajax are remote and may only happen once in a blue moon and their big European nights will come in the Europa and Conference Leagues.

Selling players at the peak of their value should be integral to their strategy. Keeping players for a couple of years in the Eredivisie isn't going to hugely inflate their price so if they can get a good fee now, surely they'll sell and pick up the next gem they've been scouting.

They might not want to sell but a good bid would surely be too tempting.

That’s all Ric mate.
