Deferred from the year we posted 157m presumably, the average is still hefty, but at least probably puts us below Everton. 
 

But I think we all know we have the likes of Perez, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Hamza, etc. eating up in excess of £50k/month each in all likelihood. Shifting a few of these guys out will help. 
 

Going into last season, our squad was looking formidable and I was very optimistic prior to the Fofana injury… Shame how it turned out, but that squad depth clearly comes at a cost.

Leicester City are considering a move for Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu this summer.

 

The 21 -year-old Turkey international has been on Leicester watch-list for some time and was subject of speculation linking him with a move to King Power Stadium in January, but no move was forthcoming.

 

However, Leicester have retained their interest in the Dutch-born midfielder, although they also have other targets under consideration.

 

Kokcu revealed in January that he would be open to a move to the Premier League if it helped Feyenoord’s financial situation.

 

“I thought it was a good sign that clubs like that were still following me, despite my injury (a calf strain) and the fact that I hadn’t played much,” he told Voetball International in January when Leicester’s interest emerged.

 

“If a club comes to me with a good story and Feyenoord can make money from it, I can imagine that I will listen to it.”

 

Arsenal and West Ham United have also been linked with Kokcu, who is contracted to Feyenoord until 2025.

Don't know about that seeing how Kokcu has a contract until 2025 and Feyenoord won't be in any big need to sell with the Sinisterra sale already filling their accounts

What exactly does ‘retain an interest’ mean ??

 

have we put down a ten euro deposit?

have we spoken to his reps and made a loose agreement on terms in advance of any negs with feyenoord ?

or is it simply that he retains a page in our little black book after several others have been discarded ?

Looks a player on his highlights reel (doesn't every player) and not too lightweight even though he's a short arse.  

 

But he's young and contracted with Feyenoord until 2025 so, if he's as good as suggested, isn't he going to cost a fair wedge?

For a long time I retained an interest in Catherine Zeta Jones - but it never f’kin got me anywhere!

The Dutch-born Turkey international has been watched by a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal in recent seasons and is open to a move this summer.

Leicester, though, want to offload players first with a number of possible exits being discussed.

Leicester have been following Kokcu's progress for some time and the midfielder almost moved to the King Power Stadium in January.

At the time, the 21-year-old admitted he would be willing to move to the Premier League if it helped Feyenoord's financial situation.

His contract runs until 2025, and he has scored 19 goals in 122 games for the Dutch side.
