Scandalous but can’t expect his value to have increased based on his performances for us. Surely means we’re not covering any of his wages at that fee either….so it could trigger that much needed injection of freshness into this stale squad. I wonder if the structure of the deal better suits us though, perhaps all or higher % of fee paid upfront and there could be some add ons that are fairly easy to achieve that means we end up over the contract getting between £15-17m back on him.
