Better than Ward.

 

Any player not currently in the team cannot make mistakes and is therefore better than those that are in the team (see Cags et al).  It's FT 101.

I look at Lloris and Alison’s footwork yesterday to make saves on shots that have a deflection loop on them and wonder if ward should have done better with sterling?  I guess the deflection was a lot more slight so less time to react but I still don’t see him making the wow saves that other keepers are capable of

I don't think he's been great but I'm surprised to see scathing criticism of him. We're still in this mess if we'd had Allisson in net.

 

Then again, people regularly complained about Schmeichel. I did say people took him for granted and will realise how good he was when he's gone.

Ward is so, so bad. Honestly wouldn't put it past him being involved in some betting scam. He's literally just shut his eyes and dived out the way.

Ward decided to dive to cover past his near post. He’s quite clearly way out of his depth. When our defence is this bad, we need a keeper who can actually make saves. Until he’s dropped we have no chance.

Not his fault really always expected to be the under keeper- good for practice and the odd game. Otherwise earning a tidy living watching matches. Whilst most of the players don’t want to be on the pitch Ward along with Thomas do not deserve to be.
