That little moustache has got to go for a start!

Evans seemed genuinely disgusted by him at times last night, they briefly had words an'all.

Picked up on this too. At one point Ward shouts back ‘I know!’

Ndidi had about 30 yards of space in front if him simple pass to him and Man Utd don’t  score

I honestly think every other keeper in the league plays that pass, even the ones crap with their feet like Pope and De Gea

Watching Ward reminds me of the lunch time kick around's in the school playground when nobody ever wanted to go inbetween the sticks so everyone encouraged the lad who had zero interest in football but hung around as he wanted to be seen to be one of the lads to stand in goal and do his best interpretation of a keeper just so that you could play for 20 minutes.

Ward I'm afraid is that guy.

how the hell are people blaming Luke Thomas for a guy playing on the other side of the pitch scoring when he was completely unmarked? Ward made it too easy for him but James Justin was awful last night defensively and attacking wise so many times Wilf got the ball and instead of starting to run up the wing like he needed to he just stood there when he was our only width down that side

I’ve no doubt people tried to blame Amartey originally, and have settled for blaming Ward, when the reality is both his short options were covered.

The goals on Thomas, and then Ndidi.

Also, in terms of the poll, Iversen was good at Preston, but they’ve kept 7 cleansheets in 7 without him, so maybe he just had a really good defence in front of him?

Thomas went forward, out of position, Ward launched it without looking as usual and the ball came back.

People keep bringing up Preston's clean sheets. Don't get it. He spent a season and half there, under different managers. This season is Lowe's first full season in charge so perhaps his changes have improved Preston defensively regardless of Iversen. Plus Iversen received positive reception from his time at Oldham and at Rotherham.

How good is Iversen really? What are his strengths?

Is he better than Ward is what I'm asking, not seen him play for Preston.

Personally, given our start to the new season, I would give Iversen a go. At some point he will have to step up or is he another Logan?

Ward, although he has made some good saves, he hasn't really inspired.

I think continuing with Ward is probably the biggest piece of evidence for Rodgers wanting to be sacked. I bet Bent and co haven't even considered or noticed it from their arm chairs though...

Have to admit, from what I've seen thus far this season, I do not rate Ward as a first choice Premier league keeper.

Perhaps he might improve with time but then again, he may not.

He's 29 so in all likelihood this is his best. Ward is our biggest problem now so why not stick in Iversen who may be like another new signing and freshen up the team. Plus if we are in such a mess that we need our GK to improve it's much better to have the younger one in who has been playing week in week out last year and was his loan sides player of the season. Iversen just might be good enough to be a starting Premier league GK. With Ward he isn't and if he isn't by now he won't be.

The guy in goal is more comparable to Logan than Iversen

Just play Iversen. He might be crap with the feet, but we can adjust to that. Ward's positioning is too dodgy; can't believe Ronaldo's overhead kick attempt nearly went in and Sancho will never have an easier one on one.

This. Want Iversen to be given a chance. If he’s ‘not good with his feet’, let him make the choice to go long, if an easy pass isn’t there.

He took more than 30 seconds to take a goal kick last night while we were losing 1-0 with 7 mins to go.

Because he was shouting at his team to get upfield and not come short like the Brendan-inspired automotons that they are!

The amount of over the top shite I read in this thread is unbelievable.

"Worst we've had in 30 years"

"won a raffle"

We'll end up spending the next three years shuffling keepers because no-one is quite good enough to match Kasper's golden gloves.  It's pretty incredible that every mistake is somehow his fault. Tomorrow someone will wake up without a hard on and come on here to moan it's somehow Ward's fault. I don't know how anyone looks at our current circumstances and figures out he's one of the biggest issues. It'll be the same when Vardy's replacement comes in.

Should never have been selected as number 1 keeper at the start of the season. He's not been a regular starter for 5 or 6 years including his time at Liverpool. By contrast, Iversen played week in week out in the Championship for the last 2 seasons and did very well. He's also young with room to improve, unlike Ward. Another poor decision by Rodgers.

Spot on. He had a bit of a stinker in preseason, but that’s not a big issue. I’ve a lot more faith in him.

If I wake up without a boner in the morning it’ll be because I’ve been worrying all night about our inability to keep

a clean sheet.lol

Rodgers liked to tell everyone he had two number one keepers & now he is playing him to save his own embarrassment . !!
