Just wanted to say our owners have been the envy of every other football club in the country. King Power must be feeling the effects of the pandemic but glad the tourism industry seems to slowly be getting back on track. They have been amazing to us the fans, to our communities and not forgetting huge contributions to Leicester Hospitals. If the money is not there at the moment and we have to sell to stabilise the club then so be it, I'm with them all the way. Top will always do the right thing for the fans who are the heartbeat of any club. I'll still be doing what I can in difficult times for everyone to support the club, See you at the KP tomorrow for a 4-1 win boys.

Am I missing something? As a fan base, everyone is. I've not saw anyone claiming to be otherwise.

I don't think anyone's turned against them exactly but I have noticed a steady increase in people saying we need them to sell if we want to be competitive, as well as some of the more imaginative anti-Rodgers posters suggesting, with various degrees of subtlety, that the only reason he's still in the job is that Top doesn't have the bottle to sack him, which his dad would supposedly already have done for some reason. It probably won't take much more than two or three seasons of relative mediocrity (i.e. anything less than top 8 or so) for some proper dissent to start brewing.

Thinks might not be perfect at the minute but we still have great ownership.

The ambitions are there, just restrained some what financially.

I thought we're constrained by FFP and not cashflow if the rumours are correct. Our wages need to be 70% of our turnover and missing out on Europe will have impacted that!

You've got to separate the owners from the club sometimes. Not many would disrespect or take our owners for granted but a lot of people, and some quite rightly, do not agree with how the club runs some elements. The owners cannot control every detail, that's the jobs of the club staff put in charge.

I doubt anyone would be happy for our owners to go, we would be lost, they have been perfect for us and long may it continue.

I think we have high expectations, if we look at our fan base, global support, finances etc we are prob mid table at best. We have over achieved if we purely look at these credentials compared to other clubs across the country.

So the owners have done a fab job and providing we stay in the Premier league and competitive I can't see why any real fan would turn on them now or in the future.

I suspect the position we are in now with finances will hit other clubs next summer and the following years. They will all have to meet these new ffp rules. We should be in a really good place after next summer with finances. It's prob all part of the plan for then when we will lose several players and have to invest in our squad.

Ideally, we need to focus on the academy. Bringing good potential through will help sustain the future of the club.

Also the new head of recruitment will have his work cutt out. We will be hunting for young players who we can progress and make large profits on. This route along with the academy will maintain success.

I think Top must have realised buying players like Bertrand is not the and answer to having a 'sustainable' football club.

Our owners have ambition to grow turnover.

They’re also the sort of demographic you’d target if you wanted to generate a higher profile in Asia, which is the fastest growing market.

Whilst the businesses they run might currently be feeling financial pressure due to impending recession, the King Power group will suffer.

I wouldn’t let this distort the fact that they are still looking at increased revenue streams for Leicester City Football Club. These things take time. We have cash, we potentially are one of the richest owners in the league which is crazy. What we don’t do, is comply to the rules.

Is it Top’s birthday tomorrow?

Really is about time we showed our appreciation and came up with a sing for him.

Stop by spice girls (I know it won’t be sung.. but)

King power have acted as guarantor on loans we’ve taken out

this is obviously great but doesn’t help in our fight against ffp

we need to start generating income from commercial activities -  sponsorship deals for the stadium and training ground ???

of course KP won’t want to lose the stadium naming rights and there is no real value for the training ground for anyone. Other clubs do it as a way of getting money into the club from ownership via their companies.  I mean we could justify £15m per season for the stadium and £5m for the training ground.  That would sort out our ffp issues for this season immediately.  but that mean King power have to find that cash and be prepared to lose it in the club.

But that still means we need to remove the mistakes of giving heavily inflated wages to some players i.e. Bertrand.

However, I think the great thing about Top tho is he's learned all the lessons from his father and at only 37 leading a billion pounds worth company, he's gonna become a even more experienced businessman and added to that love for the club the family has shown, I believe we are in the safe hands for the present and the future wherever such tall ambition takes us for example that new stadium concept looks bloody brilliant.

The achievement of even coming close of competing with the financial and established powers of the top Manchester and London clubs is remarkable and should never be forgotten and if we someday have a change in manager or set of players, I believe we will get back competing again.

The biggest issue the football authorities are now very suspicious of owners pumping in money via these methods, since Man City kicked the ass out of it.

Especially with the current narrative around our FFP issues, I think we would be better with an someone else.

Yes - of course it would have to be a ‘deal’ behind the scenes where KP invest in another company in some way.  They can then sponsor us ….  arms length and all that.

Anyway, it’s not happening so bit pointless in discussing it

Totally agree. King Power have been and are brilliant Owners. The issues we have now are due to mistakes made by some of those entrusted to run the football side of things.  The major problem area right now has been the recent recruitment failures and paying over the odds for relatively ordinary Club personnel. This can be sorted out next summer. For now let’s get behind the Club and see what we can do over this coming season.

I think King Power have been trying to balance the books for a while, hence the huge investment into the academy and training ground so we can produce our own players and become much less dependent on the transfer market over time.

What's hurt us most is a poor summer in the transfer market and narrowly missing out on Champions League football; remove either of those from the equation and it's progress once again.

We will probably have to bid farewell to a key player, just as we did with Mahrez, Maguire, Drinkwater and Kante, and perhaps even let some of the overpaid fringe players' contracts run down to get them off the book and replace with the likes of Braybrook and Alves, both of whom look like decent prospects.

I suspect that the KP model is more RB Leipzig or Villarreal than Manchester City or PSG, and that may mean we'll have a fair amount of transitional seasons before getting back up to the top end.

Those two nearly years and none for this will have cost us big time. Need to regroup and re-establish ourselves.

Are KP allowed to renew their existing Stadium Sponsorship when it expires or has direct owner sponsorship been banned now?

I love the fact that he's just meandering along alone while the squad are obviously training and entertains himself with a few keepy uppies.
