From what I remember, a lot of his bad form last season stemmed from not playing alongside a more experienced defender - i.e. Evans.

 

So why does Rodgers now prefer Amartey over Soyuncu in a backline which includes Evans? Must be more going on behind the scenes with him, because he is an infinitely better option than Dan Amartey.
