A slightly left field option but maybe Kjetil Knutsen from Bodo/Glimit, would be like getting Potter before he moved to Swansea.

Got a team with a pretty small budget to wins over Roma and a European quarter final.

At this moment in time I'd take anyone over Brendan.

Mike Bassett, Dave Bassett, Bertie Bassett - I don't give a flying one as long as Brendan "death by football" Rodgers is removed from post asap

Think we need to at least tap him up to gauge his initial thoughts before Villa do (if we haven't already). If you don't ask, you don't know either way.

Maybe Rodgers could have a word they are mates ain't they

I would be astonished if we haven’t already done that

the problem we would have is that villa are way more attractive than us

I don't think they are may be money wise but not much else

I want a manager with a strong mentality and who doesn't shirk the aggressive nature of football. We are too nice.

Some of the football we have played under Rodgers and the results have been incredible, up there with the best we've ever had but that's long gone now and the soft underbelly that was often protected is now there for all to see and its horrible.

Diego Simone....fits that bill perfectly ...wonder if he has any ambitions re managing outside of La Liga .. has been at Athletico Madrid for 11 years, must be getting bored by now !

My mate Steve would be perfect for this l. He’s won the prem 3 years in a row on football manager. He doesn’t want it though because he says he earns $hit loads in his current job at McDonald’s and he gets free food

Simeone earns about 400k a week at the club he loves mate.

Don't think he's about to drop it all to come and managed Ayoze Perez and Yannick Vestergaard.

Problem is we're getting to the situation where we can't afford a gamble (as could be a season of struggle) and won't attract an ambitious appointment (Potter/Pochettino) which Rodgers was at the time.

That leaves needing a safer pair of hands. Someone like Dyche who is used to working with what he's got and has done well at this level with what he's had to work with and would get the fight back in the players.

Scott Parker.

SP what have you been taking I’d rather take Peter Parker at least he’d have the ball  sticking to the players feet or shoring up the goal so nothing gets in !!  😂🕸🕷

Dyche who recently failed an interview at Stoke and is favourite for Bournemouth...no

Ange Postecoglou

His philosophy is attacking football, even with mediocre players.

He promised his Dad that his football will not be boring.

His mantra is “We never stop”.

I can't see him wanting to come here....although it would send the Celtic fans apoplectic should it happen.

Mostly home advantage playing on an iceberg!

Not sure it would work for us.
