This is tough to write but the only positive I can take is we haven’t hit the proverbial rock bottom and hope we don’t. I don’t want us to slump or lose all hope and confidence but if the club allows it we sure as will. The positive is something changes and it’s effect reverberates throughout the club. I don’t believe for one moment Top wants to fail with the LCFC project. It means much more to him and the family. Beyond the KP business empire our club is Vichai’s legacy. The great man died on these hallowed grounds for god sake.

Things have not gone to plan in fact it’s worse but we gotta keep faith the powers that be are working on fixing it. Some things take time. If push comes to shove I’m sure they will take the necessary action no matter how difficult it may be. If axing Rogers is the solution than that is what they will do but not without finding an appropriate successor. Heck they may have already been seeking that person out over the summer! It may explain the mysterious misunderstanding between Rogers and the board. For now let’s wait and see what happens. Rogers has accumulated some credit in the bank but it’s fast running out. Ranieri was gone in a blink of an eye last time we were anchored to the bottom of the table (remember that?)

Sadly I think you're right.

We look absolutely shambolic at the moment and I don't see that changing until Brendan has gone. I don't even want to go to the Forest match the way we are playing.

I’m watching on the TV unless BR goes before then. Not paying good money to listen to the tree shaggers gloating in our home.

We were never anchored to the bottom of the table under Claudio, though it was the right decision.

Parts of the 1st half yesterday?

Great energy, “fight”, skilful tight passing and interplay, and a couple of better decisions / rub of the Green we’d have been in clear scoring positions.

But the immediate change from the moment we scored was shocking. Overcoached ( again) and went too passive, with too many key players MIA.

Contrast that to how Soton became more energised ( their rb, central defenders, midfield). Better tactical management, again, by Brendan’s opposition.

This is literally identical to Brentford. Absolutely no way we should have ever walked away from that game with taking 3 points.

One positive is the result of the Rodgers in/out thread. 95% of fans can’t be wrong.

There is no way that the club’s chairman and board can be oblivious to this.

Only positive from the current situation (hopefully) is that the club are not letting Rodgers loose with transfer funds and keeping any loose change to entice the inevitable new Manager :fc:

It’s not so simple though is it, there is a significant financial penalty to releasing him, and if as some suspect we are financially struggling, then that cost is difficult to bear.

Right now there aren’t any positives. How can there be! We look incapable of winning a football match we are 3rd bottom, likely to slip a further place today and Chelsea away next. We are already in a relegation fight. Whatever is going on  behind the scenes is setting us up to fail, and unless something changes, we will.

I’m fully aware of that but isn’t this thread about trying to find positives?

I’d say fan solidarity counts as one.

That and the mass exodus from the ground when they got their second. It was the thing you see if you go 2 or more down in the remaining minutes.

We still had time to salvage something but nah, most could see that wouldn't happen.

Maddison. The fact we can only call on one player as a positive is a crying shame.

I hope we don't get relegated :(

It'll be a travesty with Seagrave and the stadium expansion. And it better not be at the expense of Forest. I couldn't cope! We'd be a laughing stock.

Watching MOTD it infuriates me that nobody in punditry or the media is talking about how shit Rodgers has been.

They won't, he could take 1 point from our opening 10 and they still wouldn't. Since the Forest defeat he's been in full self preservation mode, so nothing appears to be his fault

We could sell Seagrave to Forest.
