Are all these players nowadays made out of glass? It's not only our team with injuries. I've seen somewhere that the last 10yrs or something long term injuries are 300%-400% up compared to the 90's and early 00's. I'll try to find the source.

Try as I might I can’t see how we win tomorrow. It’s not that Chelsea are much good… they aren’t really.

Its that we are looking shite. Especially if Madders is out. Easily our best player currently.

I think we’ll score but we’ll concede more (the usual).

I mentioned during that Leeds/Chelsea game that I can just envisage us doing the total opposite of what Leeds did. We won't pressure Mendy even though that's what caused one of the goals.

We won't put any contained pressure on their defence or wing-backs, even though that was Chelsea's downfall.

We won't play quickly up through the pitch, even though Chelsea clearly couldn't cope.

We won't hassle them off the ball, even though Chelsea were clearly rattled by this.

 

It'll be severely disappointed that we won't do any of what Leeds found success with.

 

Like how other teams would see we were frail (to put it nicely) at crosses or set-pieces and capitalise on it, take advantage of it. We're just the opposite because of Rodgers' stubbornness. Rodgers plays his way and he's too proud and ignorant to see that other ways work and have been successful to overcome a specific type of opposition.

 

We're too generous of a side. We're too charitable. We'll gift goals to Sterling & Cucurella. We'll make the players that Chelsea want out look good - Ziyech & Pulisic for example.

I don't know what's worse, the fact that I can't wait for this game to be over or that I'm going to watch it anyway even though I know how angry I'm going to be afterwards.

Leeds beat them 3nil so not impossible but almost impossible we will get something from this, we have looked terrible so far.

It’s a very strange pre-match feeling when you kind of despise your own team. It’s feels like I’ve caught a favourite nephew shagging the family Labrador ……. no matter how much you used to love him, you just can’t get past the sense of being seriously let-down 😞😞

Wouldn't make any difference would it? He doesn't change anything or affect the game when we need him to anyway, he stands there clapping or sits writing notes.

Routine win for Chelsea. Probably an early goal off a corner followed by another goal on about 60 minutes. We'll hardly get in their half. Brendan will say the boys worked hard and stayed in the game well before dropping in that it's hard without any new signings but he and his "honest boys" will do the best they can with what they have.
