Get rid! Terrible attitude and we don't need that here! Rather we play lesser players with the right attitude!!

Accept Chelsea's offer and he's gone. But oh no we can't do that. What do people want?

What's different to the very diplomatic stance Todgers took last Thursday lunchtime in thr presser, which was a few hours after Fofana had failed to turn up for training? Waxed lyrical about Fofana and stuck yp for him. Now after 2 more horrendous results he's reminding us that Fofana missed training and is still training on his own/ with the academy.

The blokes astonishing.

He's an absolute liability and he's doing untold damage to the club now. Just give the **** his precious money and get him out before it becomes irreparable.

Surely making this public knowledge weakens our negotiating power somewhat?

I mean I’m not naïve enough to think it wouldn’t get out, all it takes is Fofana, his agent, anyone, to leak it but for the manager to just offer it into the public domain not really sure why he’d do that.

Because we just drew 0-0 with Stockport 😂 anything to distract from how s*** he is

No doubt will see Chelsea leave it until deadline day to stump up the £80mil, leaving us no time to reinvest the money until January; where we’ll be quoted extortionate prices and decide not to do any business until next summer

Still want the club to hold out for a record fee though. We need to hold a stance for when the next gem we get throws his toys out.

Sorry Suzie, was actually talking about Brendan at that point lol In the Fofana thread of course, just to confuse matters further :D

Chelsea dragging their feet this week to unsettle the club as much as possible before Saturday. Leicester will drag theirs so he doesn’t play against us Saturday. Deal will be done early next week

We backed him after his injury and gave him a long term contract earlier this year which was a risk. I don't want us to be bullied by a player and we should hold out for fair value but we've already lost him mentally now regardless of what happens. Like Van Dijk at Southampton!

Great player. Total bellend of a man.

Makes that celebration when he scored after coming back from injury and running to Rodgers all rather a long time ago. Really annoys me when a player is happy to sign a contract but wonder why the club do not want to sell so soon after or at the very least insist on a fee they feel is required.

These is crazy on so many levels. Fofana is a little twat who does not deserve the chances that have been offered to him. Brendan announcing it feels outright weird. Is it part of his excuses package and did he go off script? Can you imagine being part of the squad right now.

But most of all, the way Chelsea have navigated this has been horrific. They have engineered this and fcud with a young players head. How I wish they had been wound up last season and it sickens me they are still around causing this mayhem. Doing the same with Gordon at Everton. Preferred them in the 90s when they were shit and a team full of midgets.

What a mess we've become

Hard to blame the club here IMO

He signed a 5-year deal only recently and we’re entitled to get fair value for him (which based on his age and position is more than Chelsea are offering)

Fully agree, we can’t be bullied into a deal. Chelsea are lowballing us thinking we’ll fold.

Mind boggling! Rodgers is only concerned about advancing a narrative that favours him. He is preparing the way for his own exit from a ship he is helping to sink. The club must see this. They must get rid!

I’ve heard the u23’s ain’t too happy with the club, not to do with this but being told to be in the same as the first team which means they don’t get a day off because they play on Fridays.

Yeah probably the wrong thread to post that particular comment in but everything seems to have gone to shit really quickly. The feel good atmosphere surrounding the club has well and truly gone

How does it weaken the negotiation,  he's  still on a 5 year contract , he wants the move , they want him and we're showing we won't tolerate the c**ts antics! I think it strengthens our case cos we're showing we won't tolerate his petulance or Chelseas attempts to get him for less than we want!

Only way back would be to let him sulk for a bit, then when he realizes he has no other option and of course has a signed long term contract, maybe he'll lower himself to attempting to fulfill said contract. What an a--.  Deserves all the negative s--- coming his way.

Such a crap situation for the club and unless we call Chelsea's bluff and they finally stilump up a fair fee  I don't see us winning this one.

Either we fold and sell him for lower than our valuation or we don't and hope that he screws the nut once he realises he's not getting his move.

Or he doesn't, continues to spit the dummy out and we banish him to the u23's where his value will keep decreasing and we will likely end up with a smaller fee than that we we offered in the next window. Meanwhile we have to play Amartey or Vestegaard because Rodgers for one reason or another doesn't seem keen on playing Soyuncu.
