So much uncertainty as we could sell or loan out up to 10 players in the next couple of days! Soyuncu, fofana, praet, hirst, brunt, wright, vestergaard, Tielemans, Perez and Mendy could all go out the door! Don’t think anyone really knows what’s going on including the club itself 😞

Yep. But then the club surprises us with a CB and a RW from PSG - Neymar and Ramos.

Of quality? No.

Reminds me of the last days of Ranieri when we brought that reserve CB from Watford.

We also signed Ndidi that January though tbf.

If Fofana’s deal goes through then we need a replacement. The idea of having Cags, Amartey and Evans as our only centre backs all season gives me nightmares.

If we go into this season with just those 3, having turned down 75m for Fofana, then frankly we deserve to get relegated for such utter incompetence.

I really hope something massive is in the offing and a proper footballer (or two) which improves the first team for a club record fee comes sailing into the KP...

This level of hope however feels particularly distant...

You mean having sold Fofana right?

I agree, there’s no way we cannot get a quality defender that has to be better than Amartey or Soyunchu else we are in the shit

Molla Wagué.  Remember the name!

Yes. We will sign some more deadwood making zero impact on our points total but adding to the future deforestation project in 2023, although will could be swimming in a different place by then.

The reality is that whoever we get now will be a downgrade to our expectations for the season. Harit and any of the rent a centre backs won't be the sorts of bums on seats and positive atmosphere signings that refresh the unholy trinity of squad, media and fans.

In that situation only a change of manager or change of approach/tactics can get you back moving forward again.

West Ham have bought in Paqueta and Scammaca to add to a succesful side.

Wolves have signed two top quality players.

Newcastle are now a better side than us with Pope, Trippier, Botman, Schar, Bruno, St Maximin, Wilson, Isak.

Forest aree flying and have spent £200m but more wisely than previous clubs.

Fulham have got Mitro flying and seem a real handful.

Palace look our nightmare team. Full of athletes and quality in Eze. Olise, Zaha, Mateta, Edouard

Brentford have quality all over the pitch and look super lively up front.

With Toney, Mbuemo, Wissa and half if Denmark in midfield.

Meanwhile we've lost our best goalie, best defender and best midfielder (likely)

We need to hope Bournemouth and Saints absolutely stink and that Everton have caught the latter spirit of Burnley rather than the mid 2010s.

I can see us finishing 17th or 16th this year. In fact I find it hard to see us finishing anywhere above that.

Ross barkley on a free anyone? 😒🤔

Seems more logical than this Moroccan fellow; unless he is coming on loan, because no way I’d be offering Barkley anything more for than a 12-18month deal…

Yes, but sadly I think it's too late to get anyone of quality. Although perhaps if we took forests attitude of chucking the Reddies about we could sign about 5 good players.

As it stands we are not linked with anyone I would want at our club.  No players of quality at all.  Window closes on Thursday at 11pm.  I do not think we will bring in anyone.  There is something awful happening behind the scenes at our club.  At the moment we are not showing any ambition at all.

All this investing in the infrastructure doesnt wash.  Whats the point of improving the ground if you are in the Championship?  If we were to be relegated attendances would drop to around 20,000 again.  We struggle to fill the ground now against Brentford and Southampton.

I genuinely believe questions should be asked of Rudkin, Whelan and even Top himself.  Since the death of Vichai our club seems to be going backwards.  Covid impacted everyone not only King Power, yet other teams are spending we are not.  FFP will effect everyone, yes, it benefits the big 6 but Wolves, Villa, Brentford, Southampton have spent similar size clubs to ourself.

Start of the season our set piece coach is awaiting a work permit, our transfer guru still contracted to Southampton and he cant join us until the window is shut.

Frankly its a bloody mess whoever is responsible for this debacle needs firing and quick.

I think we’ll only get loanees in. Then the pressure is on Rodgers to earn his corn. If he doesn’t deliver or gets offered a job elsewhere he’ll be off. Then the club will back the new manager from January. This might not be feasible. Just a speculative feeling.

I hope if we do sign any players it’s only Loans with option to buy.

Some of these players were being linked with are incredibly underwhelming and wouldn’t improve the 1st 11 at all.
