the reality is really sinking in that whoever we end up with on deadline day, we are going to have a worse squad than the end of last season.

It would need some of the best business the club has ever done to improve us in a day after losing youri, kasper, lookman and snakey

-Another centre back to partner Wout, wonder if we could loan Simakan from leipzig now they've picked up Diallo. Szalai as mentioned in other threads however doesn't want to leave.

- Right sided midfielder/winger (not sure this idea exists in our scouting department) Tsygankov the dream, Bowler probably more realistic

- Central midfield only if 1 of praet or youri does leave, Szymon Zurkowski from Fiorentina could be an interesting option albeit a very different player to youri.

So we still need:

CB Amazingly there's still a couple of attractive options out there and apparently available. Tobido, Lacroix Saliza(?)

RW This appears to be Jermine Boga

CM This was Garner but he's gone now

There's enough time. Apparently we had 2 loans lined up too.

Can see it being Waes permanently, and then unfortunately Boga and Harit on loan

Would like to see Waes permanent, Bade loan with option, Malinovskyi permanent, Bowler permanent

Well sign Waes, probably Boga and that will be that.

The knives will be straight out for Rodgers despite the fact the club haven't signed him a right winger since he's been here.

The last player we signed that actually improved the first 11 has been and gone. Let that sink in.

And there's a narrative top down that we want to disrupt the top 6. It's ****ing nonsense.

Ünder was signed and he refused to play him in the league.

He only played about 10 mins every 5 games, he was never given a chance

I’m sorry but I made my mind up quite early  on Under. A fraud. Think Rodgers came to the same conclusion.

Doesn’t mean we were right but nothing subsequent to his time with us suggests we were wrong

OUT:

Amartey

Vestergaard

Castagne

Ricardo (whilst injured)

Perez

I’ll be happy with this and feel like its realistic.

Faes and Dawson fair enough but this lot?

We cant afford the hairdressing bills!

At this point I'd be more shocked on players we can actually offload I mean the ones we want. Big Dan, Lurch, Perez just never seem to leave. As long as this situation holds its really hard to get fresh players in even if we do have the cash.

That’s quite alright, I’ve only watched bits of Vesty and I’m not having him.

Exactly what I was going to say, Ric.  If Brendo had wanted a proper RW he'd have gotten one, but he wanted guys he could play out of position in nonsense formations so he could show what a genius he was.

Brendan gets the final say on transfers so in previous windows the recruitment team might have struggled to find a player he likes - an inside midfielder who can play on the right.

At least now he’s saying he wants a fast right winger.

I've now reached just go and sign Juan Mata for a year levels of desperation.

You'd like to think desperation would take us to the couple of players still available for free first!
