I don’t think any of us can blame him for wanting to play for Chelsea over Leicester given our current situation. He’s just signed a contract sure, but we look to have a difficult few years ahead of us and Chelsea have just turned a new page and throwing money around.

If he had simply said, I really want to join Chelsea, and I’ll put the Leicester shirt on and give 100% blood, sweat and tears until the move happens, the fans would have accepted that and some would have even celebrated his attitude. We desperately need the money so most of us would have let him go with best wishes. Instead he threw us under the bus for greed

So because he sat out two games he threw us under the bus? That's hyperbolic and I'm sure it was a gentleman's agreement or something so as not to compromise the transfer.

The club is to 'blame' for dragging out the deal.

I don't enjoy this at all. I hoped Fofana would be here for years and develop into a top class defender. Truth is he is still prone to a lot of lapses and bad judgements, so getting 70m for him is no shame.

Sky reporting £70m fee with a potential £5m more in "add on's".How did we end up getting less than we did for Maguire? Only last week we were hearing that Fofana wasn't for sale, then that it would take a world record fee .It feels like we've been bullied just like we do on the pitch, and caved in to our parasite club yet again. The club's gone soft and I'm sick of it.

I think we've done okay regarding the fee, and the add-ons. As much as he's a grade A* little ****, Fofana is a monstrous talent and he will likely activate those add-ons. We've also got the 3rd/4th highest fee ever for a CB behind Maguire, Van Dijk and Hernandez.

There was no coming back for him after his antics. He was even well supported by the fans at the Arsenal game. No respect for anyone at Leicester and an awful professional. The club had to sell.

Hopefully we now use what portion of the money is available to Rodgers wisely. Wout Faes looks like a solid option. A couple exciting additions and a result against United to bring a crumb of joy to what has been a thoroughly depressing summer and transfer window would be most welcome. I'm not holding my breathe.

Decent profit, was always going to do this to us. It's a shame but I'm genuinely not that bothered. He is an obscene talent and I'll watch his career with interest.

Let's see what he puts on social media about the move and his gratitude to us etc....

**** all like Maguire

Yes he threw us under the bus, this is the premier league and every single minute on the pitch counts when you’re a 70m defender playing for a club that has a defender crisis for talent and cover.

that is absolutely throwing us under the bus for greed. How long would he have been sulking if we point blank refused to sell? The fact he even asked not to play is disrespectful, he didn’t even cheer when Maddison scored when he was in the stands. He cares more about this move than he does his employers or the fans.

Apart from that I do agree it’s a massive shame. But it fixes our problems largely so happy to see the end of this saga and we can move on now.

Find it hard to be that angry at him like some are, which is perhaps more of a reflection of the crushing cynicism of the modern Premier League.

The passport is a big difference. Selling at twice the price despite missing almost all of last season is not 'going soft'.
