Not too fussed. Hard to feel much attachment to him given he played 40 games for us, most of which behind closed doors. Was phenomenal away in Eindhoven, which is my main memory of him. Maybe he felt he had to take it after having such a bad injury, felt he was a bad injury away from not having the chance in the future. However there is a way to go about it, and he needs to learn some humility and professionalism. Looking forward to the reception on his return in March

This transfer is everything that is wrong with modern football. Players showing no loyalty, agents having too much influence on decision making, big clubs just buying everyone else's talent with big fees and obscene wages and that for a player who has not really proved anything yet.

But hey, we move on without him. **** him.

Anyone who is in the least bit sympathetic towards Fofana is not a Leicester fan. He chose to miss training, like certain social media posts and tried to force his move away from our club. The more I see this statement the happier I am that this man-child isn't with us now.

One very small step towards sorting out the mentality in this group of players and staff.

I fail to believe someone that acts like a little child as soon as he doesn’t get his way was in anyway good for the mental side of the squad.

To say the manager exposed him ignores all the points before where he defended him - don’t show up to work and you expect the manager to keep defending you. Could have been worse for him, he might have actually called a spade a spade.

Out of curiosity, how do you think it was during pre-modern football? Talent always finds its way to the top and the food chain was always there.

Fortunately (?) our club has climbed the food chain over the last ten years to an unprecedented level. Did we complain when our club managed to entice Fofana away from St Etienne?

Yeah, I think Rodgers is a tit but he couldn't really win with this gimp and I don't begrudge him leaving him out of matchday squads. I also think he's been as tactful as possible in public when quizzed on it all.

Unfortunately it's clear that Fofana is an incredible footballer, if he stays injury free and gets out of that basket case of a club sooner rather than later he'll be one of, if not the, best centre halves in the world. Hope we've been savvy enough to include a sell on % in this deal.

Good night, sweet prince. Shame you had to sour our love by acting like such a colossal dickbag.

Now get spending that cash, stat.

To get rid of Rodgers?

Some of our ex players get unfair stick at the KP, but he deserves everything he’ll get.

I can't wait for the chorus of boos.

They've had our pants down then. 70m ffs, embarrassing capitulation.

I make that 2-2 in our transfer muggings contest - Kante and Fofana v Chilwell and Drinkwater.

Anybody know the add ons?  This is supposed to be a world record, yet Harry went for £80m or £85m, confused?  Any decent chance of hitting the add ons??  Are we getting the £70m straight up front?

No but doesn't take away from how sarcy it is.

Yeah no I get that.

Just thinking that given how badly he's behaved for 3 weeks, the last thing that should surprise us is that he's left like this.

As others have said, if he'd had remained professional most would wish him well.

Not bothered about it so probably don't have the same hate that most of you do but that statement is something. I mean, you literally removed any reference to Leicester on social media and then go around liking although the Chelsea stuff. I wonder who to believe in this scenario lol
