Someone was on yesterday on one of the news channels  said she queued  NOT once but twice to see the the coffin.

I mean..ffs, are you crazy, it's not Alton Towers!

I have not watched any TV throughout this, and will be going for a long walk later this morning. I feel my life is easier for having done this.

There was a woman on the radio last night who said two daft things. First she said it'll be a change because we'll hear less from the Queen at things like Christmas and it'll be more from the King. No we won't hear from her at all, she's dead, it'll all be from The King.

 

Secondly she said Charles probably won't reign as long as his mum. Probably? He's not living 140 is he 😂

“Biggest event the world will ever see” ffs!

 

Just in the past 5 years, Brexit and Covid are far, far bigger historical events than the Queen’s death which have affected and continue to affect your average British person far, far more. As will the upcoming recession and energy crisis  this winter.

 

Who will still even be thinking about this in a month’s time? This will be a date and a sentence in the history books and that’s it, exactly like Queen Victoria’s death is (I imagine most here could tell you absolutely nothing about Victoria’s death).

 

Its not like she died from a society shifting revolution and civil war like Charles I or anything.

On talksport the other day they interviewed a boxer who almost met the Queen. 😆 madness.

Been for a run this morning,  it feels like Christmas  day. All the shops closed, mo traffic and only a few dog walkers.

I suspect some people will be p1ssed at home watching tv by 3pm expecting Charlie  to give a speech before they tuck into cheese and crackers.
