Am I the only one who liked his reaction to his goal?

Can’t be booing your own players coming onto the pitch. Fans dishing it out but can’t take it.

Yeah fvck it I like it, most aggression and passion he’s shown in a long old while

I wanted Okoli to be better than this smug nobber but Faes still looks so comfortable at this level and dominates in defence and attack.

Judging by his reaction, I think he will be pushing hard for a move away, but if he stays, we have to start him (unfortunately)

Booing a sub onto the pitch on a new managers very first game is incredibly toxic. I get that people are upset about a whole host of things but surely a new manager and his picks should get a clean slate and a bit of a refresh not for Wouts sake, **** Wout but for the sake of the club.

They are like babys

the trouble is his celebration is only going to make the situation worse than it already is....stupid reactive decison tbh

Yet hilarious, bridges were burnt from both sides long ago.

I don’t think they were huge boos, or certainly the booing wasn’t as emphatic as being made out, a lot of people were just going Woooouuuuutttt. He had a go at the fans in the championship last time. Needs to be got rid of but the fact no one wants him, is telling.

Before the game he was my most hated player and I wanted him out but after that goal I really like him and I really hope he stays.

I really hated him before the game and after the game I still hate him

I get your point, but if the fans after a summer off are still holding enough of a grudge to boo him coming on, I would say the bridge is already burnt.

I dont get this part of human nature, its a side I dont like, but many will make the mud stick once they have formed an opinion in that direction.

Problem is sideshow bob has reacted to a handful of idiots booing a player on (which is clearly wrong)

however the vast majority of fans who didn't boo him get tarred with the same brush ? Not right either is it

He can’t police booing fans, only fans can do that

Did he taunt?

Because that was the easiest header from like 3 years I've ever seen.

To be fair to him, not many players can head a ball through the space-time continuum that well.

It’s not about being a snowflake but he’s a complete tossr who thinks he is way better than he is - and if he cared one jot over his time here we would support him - his lack of self awareness having been instrumental in two relegations and believing he’s above us all is what gets under my skin

I keep seeing these kind of comments.

Have I massively missed something? Is there evidence of this? Has he said something at some point, or...?

I always thought it was his name we can hear, like Huth and Fuchs, rather than boos

His name isn't pronounced anywhere near those

There will definitely have been some people shouting his name (not how it's actually pronounced of course but this is the fanbase who couldn't get their heads around the surname "Wood" so no great surprise there), but there will definitely also have been quite a lot of people booing him on and then doing so again after his celebration

Curious, why the hatred?  Did he do something to warrant it, or just due to dodgy performances last season.

I will never hate a player for making mistakes.

there is a consensus that he feels he is much better than us. Been twerking for a move all summer.
