The exact people moaning are the ones that slate him. If you give it out, be prepared to take some back.

Walking down the tunnel while everyone is celebrating is not a good look though. Just a massively unjustified ego

Mate, there's loads of facets to his game that are decent. He's a decent 15m defender. He's won us games on his own. And he's, lost us games too. Such is the life of a defender.

He's played under pretty dire circumstances. And gets all the frustration and stick heaped on his shoulders. His hair, his laconic style, his gaffes contributing to that..

Under Rodgers who'd checked out and in front of the worst goalkeeper the PL has ever seen. Nobody could prosper

He then turned out to be just about the best defender in the championship - about par for his credentials.

And then was in and out of two car crashes of management last season. Nobody could thrive in that chaos.

Fair comments mate. I agree with the turmoil the club have been in and the shocking managers not helping anyone but I just don't see it in him at all.

I honestly think he along with a few others are indicative of the horrendous drop in standards at the club. Maybe I just feel beaten up by the club and he's an easy target as you say but I don't think it's entirely my problem

I really dislike the guy as a player for us and he represents what has been wrong with the club.for some time. It’s not the first time he’s given it the big un  but his performances have been massively sub standard. If you don’t agree you’re watching a different game to me

Oh no issues with any of that, would be only too pleased to see him sold asap.

However, also don’t get why anyone can be so offended by him giving it back to fans when have never backed him, in fact he is actively boo’d before he even steps on the pitch.

Yes he has been part of our demise but so have many others who receive no such hatred.

 But we are all different.

It's a bit weird to score a potential winning goal and then immediately want to give some back.

Surely celebrate in the moment. It just goes to show how soured the relationship has become.

I'm afraid Vestergaard and Faas are our best defenders when playing against a low block. Okoli is better than both when we don't have as much possession of the ball.

I want to see Nelson in the cup with Okoli.

We've also got Souttar to come back.

I'm happy to see Faas and Vestergaard play if we are winning and up in the automatic spots for promotion. However, they will both need to be replaced at some point. Either because they can't do it in the Prem or because we can't afford their wages in the Championship.

Nelson seems to be an ideal replacement. From what I saw of him at Oxford he is combative and great at playing the ball out as well.

- Good player in the Championship, not good enough in the Prem

- Has wanted out for a while so I'm really not fussed about keeping him even for a season in which he should more or less boss the league

- I'm glad he's professional enough to still give it his all even though he wants out and a large proportion of the fans want him gone

- I'm also glad he's given us a bit back, shows a bit of fight. If he suddenly became good enough for the Prem (a big if) I'd be happy for him to stay. Relationships can be repaired

- Thanks for scoring an unmarked header in the Championship that won us the game. Not the most difficult thing for a professional footballer to do but it's given us two extra points

- I've enjoyed watching his Championship performances but if he was to get a good offer and he's keen on going then I'm happy with the other options we have.

A lot of these things sound contradictory but I genuinely don't dislike him as a person, I just think he's a massive weak link in a Premier League team. If he stays this season, I'm happy for him to be involved. He's proven himself at this level.

At what point did he become the enemy? I know he is terrible in the prem but was good last time at this level. Seems to think he’s a lot better than he is though.

Not offended and I despise  a lot of the others just as much and give them just as much stick. He’s not the only **** by any means.

Nah I get that, and it’s fair enough.
