If we can get Cags back to his best we’d have 4 centre back options ….

Wouldn’t mind trying Cags with Faes’ leadership. It seems like that ship has sailed, though.

We’re better suited for a counter attacking game

Pure counter attack or counter pressing? Because most of the goals we score are from counter-pressing, IE winning the ball high up the pitch when the opposition aren't in defensive shape.

Even though we have conceded so many goals, there is a reason we score so many - our attacking press is very good.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. Against Man City for example, it would be better to sit in and counter attack, but some of our best performances as a team in the Premier League have come under Rodgers, when we've counter-pressed. Don't get me wrong, he's massively at fault for many things, but he's made us play this way.

I think his biggest fault is when the team are out of form or start a game badly, he's not able to get us going. Even when we are "sideways football TM", for the most part I don't think he has instructed us to play that way.

honestly, he’s a national treasure!

He is everything about a normal sunday league bloke in england yet somehow he’s this elite sportsman. Pure inspiration

WE SCORE WHEN WE SHOOT

WE SCORE WHEN WE SHOOT

It is unsustainable and relying too much on individual brilliance (the Rodger way), rather than a systematic way of attacking relentlessly.

Doesn’t this performance from Wolves show you need a bit of both?

Soumare wasn't bad but Mendy should start in his place in the next game against Man city.

Disagree, Soumare was good, Mendy comes on to shore things up, not be creative

Although my ST is in the family stand, I do buy the better seats for the Cups. Tbf, I see/hear Rodgers screaming "pass it forward!" quite a lot.

If you fancy a laugh, have a look at all the bedwetters on the first few pages of the match thread. Absolutely embarrassing from our "football experts" who clearly know better than the manager.

We controlled the game when the subs were made and we changed to the formation most wanted

I know but I just feel Soumare and Amarty combo will be too scary defensively against them.

We now have a leader at the back who is organising the defence, and dare I say things are looking so much better, it's amazing to see the change in the players with new found confidence, Soumare is beginning to adapt to the pace of the game and when Barnes is on form it can change games.

A shame we have Man City next and really hope we don't have a result which pushes our confidence back again.
