What on earth are you talking about? We have recently moved to a new £100m training ground investment, and the owners have committed to a stadium and facilities development. The Chairman has detailed the reasons and rationale behind the lack of activity in the transfer market.

That settles it then.

This forum - ffs.

People are probably taking things too far, I agree. I do think it’s fair to point out, however, that the club haven’t said anything about the stadium expansion and redevelopment plans since the council’s approval.

The training ground and stadium is fantastic don’t get me wrong, but we are falling behind on the pitch due to lack of investment. On the grand scheme of things, the 100 million on the training ground is what our rivals would spend on 3 decent additions. We seem a way off that at the moment

I can’t believe some of the topics on here and the amount of people that really believe it might happen soon, it may one day but not in the foreseeable future.
I have been told by a very reliable source that it will snow on Christmas Day and the snow will be white.

The lull in recruitment is for the reasons that have been stated by the owners.

It was mentioned as part of the report on the memorial service last week.

Even if we had a spare 3 m we couldn’t spend it on players you can pretty much only spend on football what you earn from it because of FFP.

There are always people who will buy into the shadiest of rumours and then fill in the blanks to fit their agenda.   It wouldn’t matter what Top said once the story has got started.

Because we haven't spuffed £100m on players this summer we are suddenly up for sale, I don't buy it. FFP is clearly having a part to play here, rather than we have ran out of money. I understand finance but football finance is different and I don't think there is anyone on this forum who does to an extent understand, where it's put into practice and the ins and out of FFP.

A set of accounts only tell you so much - the fact the club has been signed off as a going concern is a positive from an existance point of view - the RI or PWC wouldn't put themselves on the line if this wasn't the case. Signing our group accounts this year I had to go through all sorts of going concern work, providing rafts of info to the auditors, 5 years forecasts - the lot. Because Gary from the pub has heard we're being sold probably means the opposite

Definitely possible maybe Top has had enough especially after the passing of his father and King Power recovering from the pandemic.

Could be why we didn't get rid of Rodgers and no signings.. let's hope not though.

I've just had an argument myself about this. Don't particularly believe it but quoted this post as it clearly states the reasons why Top "might" nit fancy it anymore.

The whole legal streaming thing looks like a MAJOR  moneyspinner which on the one hand would make it mad to sell, but on the other hand, could drive up the price for potential that a buyer might pay a high premium for.

And for rambling random explanation, houses with basements/lofts ripe for converting are more desirable than houses with converted cellars/lofts.

This theory is not Leicester specific and I will be interested to see how many English clubs in the top 2 tiers (and a handful of Welsh ones too) change hands in the short/medium term.

You have to disregard the rumours and look at the big picture. We have been sold before and we will be again. Is now the right time for King power? I couldn't say , none of us can . The right time will come though , it always does.

Have heard they are trying to sell all their racehorse. Don’t know if that indicates anything other than a lack of cash.

He nearly went Fulham in the summer didn’t he? Or was that their Donkey?

I doubt anyone wants to buy part of a racehorse, so that makes sense.

Oh, I dunno. Part of a racehorse could be good for my garden. But I'm talking Vestergaard again aren't I?

Interestingly enough, on a price of football podcast on 20th October. Kieran Maguire mentioned that there are two premier league clubs 'Open to offers' one of which is Chinese owned (Assuming Wolves) and the other one was Asian owned....

6:15 into the podcast for anybody who is interested.
