France (supporters) thinking the same thing no doubt. Great motivation for both teams. I shan't be watching. Of all the ties in the quarters, it's the one I was least interested in. Winner is much of a muchness in my book.

Two good sides playing each other? Probably will be a good one to watch, it’ll be cagey, it’ll end up an open game. That’s knockout football, it’s brilliant. The last few games, I’ve said… ‘I’m glad I’m not Croatian, Dutch, Morrocan in the final 5 mins’. It’s so intense, it’s absolutely brilliant to watch.

That’s what I heard in 2018 too, the talent we are bringing through now is only getting better in my view… young team and growing

Anyone else watching Jingle All the Way instead of the build up

Avoiding the build up at all costs.

Will switch on to see the England  players bumbling through the national anthem...

Undoubtedly two good sides. Maybe it's that and the potential for the caginess, the stalemate, that leaves me uninterested.  Hard to call and equally no shock involved whoever wins/loses. Both sides have defensive weakness but my feel is that France have more talent in the middle and up front (Mbappe is a handful, and lightening fast) and that could make the difference.

More importantly, it's Satdeh night and other things for me and my wife to watch on the tele. I get enough football during the day/week!

I honestly don’t think a midfield containing Rice and Henderson can win against the elite teams.

Henderson is criminally underrated as a leader. If he was Spanish, Brazilian etc, he’d be thought of so much more.

I don’t think he’s a bad player at all, in fact I think he’s very very good. I don’t think he’s world class though.

I wouldn’t choose him in my World XI, however it depends on your definition of World Class I suppose. I wouldn’t either, however he’s an experienced leader and I think you need the big game experience in a game like this.

We can go all out attack, or we’ll end up going the same way as Brazil, Spain, Portugal etc

I don’t disagree I just think when you look at it, a midfield of those two, just doesn’t stack up against the elite. Although I hope I’m wrong.

We’ll see.

I think if he’s the type of player, that only his own club appreciates.

Rice I’d agree, however I think he’s still learning. By having the pivot of Henderson / Rice, Bellingham can play further forward.

How many of the French starting XI, would you have in a combined England / France XI of todays starting lineups?

Mbappe is the obvious one? Would anyone have anyone else?

Are we going to be playing elite teams? Not sure even France qualify in that respect, but they must be the strongest team left in the competition.

England are the strongest team left imo let's see if they can handle the pressure
