Stephy was having a poor game Ruud needed to be braver and have more faith, Will may not have done anything but at least give him the time too

How did he actually look when he came on?

I had left the pub by that point.

tidy enough, didn't look out of place physically, didn't have the time to do much of anything

It’s very hard to judge someone in 6 minutes. Hopefully he’ll get a start against QPR or at least a decent amount of time.

I don't think he was, maybe needed more confidence to run at his defender, but majority of our creativity was from Bhilal, him and VK

I thought Mavs was woeful. Slowed down most attacks by cutting inside, pausing and then shovelling the ball backwards. He's out of form. And therefore Alves should get more of a go. We can only use of what we have. That includes the youngsters

He should have come on for at least 10 - 15 minutes, 2-0 down what did Ruud have to lose? Good to see him play, but please don’t drop him for Kacey, give him a run in the squad and a couple of goes from the bench.

When I decided to walk out early last week against Wolves on 80ish minutes, Alves was sitting in his very smart car waiting for the barriers to be lifted to also leave the game early. What a difference a week makes for him.

Yes we spotted him.

He beat us away, we saw him in his Audi with his Hood right up.

Once the players stop leaving early we might stop till the end.

I just skip to the interview. Normally go straight to the last 5 minutes.

Funny how we all see the game differently. I though that was much better from mavs today

I’m glad he got his debut.

I know many on here are about chucking it all at short term fixes to try and stay up and not worrying about the future.

But an example. Sheffield United last season, albeit in a worse position than us, brought the likes of Ollie Arblaster, Sydie Peck and Andre Brooks into their side during the season last season and those players have been key to them this season, Arblaster even captaining them until he was injured.

Obviously we don’t want to write the season off but I’d like to see us blood the youngsters such as Alves and Monga in a similar way.

Well said.

If we don't gamble on survival by bringing in 4+ players next month then I hope we realise the lost cause and plan for next season. Alves and Monga as impact players, possibly even Jake Evans and Ben Nelson recalled and the 1st name on the teamsheet when fully fit.

Yep. I’m not concerned about Nelson in terms of him having performed well at that level but it would be good to get him on the side but if he can recover and finish his loan that’s also fine by me.

If we go down, it’s really hard to know who would go and stay. I think Mads is certain but can we keep hold of Bilal? Maybe. Fatawu probably after his injury is a cert to stay.

If we could give these couple of chance, in terms of the attacking midfield, you could have,

Right side - Fatawu + ? I guess we will probably have BDR still for experienxd

Centre - Bilal and Alves

Left side - Mavididi and Monga

Chuck in Ayew probably still there along with BDT for experience, that looks as great forward line. Cannon would probably thrive also on that lot behind him.

Stolarcryk in goal and defence with Nelson at the heart actually looks pretty exciting!
