Daka is probably not the answer for Vardy replacement.

You can't have a legend like Vardy on the bench even if he's 38yrs old. Simple as that. Kane will be 39yrs old and he'll still be Spurs main striker. The same applies to Ronaldo. These players have quality historical weight.

Just tuned in. It looks like Ward must have brought back his Wales form. The season reloaded, 20+ goals incoming in the next 6 games. Wondering if I should go do something else with the rest of the afternoon.

How has Ward been at fault?

Agreed. Sadly we may have the man sitting on the bench but never gets the chance!

Another great BR signing in Daka and total blindness from our manager.

Pen was encroached not sure why VAR don’t pick up on this. We’ve been second best in that midfield we don’t have the legs there.

Because it went in the goal - unless they’re three yards inside the box then encroaching doesn’t matter if the ball goes dead

I don't know why anybody is remotely surprised! This is us under Rodgers in a nutshell

How's he meant to stop Amartey making a dippy challenge in his own box is the first 2 mins?

I'm not a Rodgers fan but there's not much he could do here. Soumare, Amartey and Daka were in form before the World Cup break. Ita not his fault none of them switched on today. Thomas is 4th choice and Madders is injured whilst his direct replacement got injured 15 minutes in.

If we go on to concede a few more then fair enough, it's all on Rodgers :D

I expect us to show some character now though.

Its like deja vu 😖

its like they all have the post christmas slump after christmas dinner. Jeez.  Hardly any options from the bench either 😞

Blimey.  We might think we have got it bad, but Southampton's keeper looks like he has never played the position before...

They’re no as good as being made out to be, sorry. Don’t know why it’s different to when we shot up the table and the pundits couldn’t wait for it to drop off. Maybe because they’ll make media money off these cvnts for years to come?

No there not as good as people are making out but they are definitely not bang average

It shouldn't be accepted

Like England mate, the usual suspects will just accept it, argue that Amartey et al are ‘good enough’ and that we’ll be ok next week (tournament).

The acceptance of mediocrity in this country at the moment is astounding.

THAT was a fookin disgrace.

They need to do something second half

That is actually a stonewall penalty on Daka.

Looked like it to me. From the replay pope clips Dakas feet, and makes no attempt to get the ball. Daka made it look soft, but I think pope has been really lucky there.

It simple……we are not fit enough.

Newcastle are fitter, stronger and quicker.

It’s like we are under paulo sousa…. “technical football” but just so unfit = shit

I have absolutely no faith in their ability to turn this around

I didn’t have a lot of confidence at 1-0, never mind 3-0.
