This game needs to be put to bed early!

start fast & furious get the 3 goals and see if our comfortably. Don’t risk anymore injuries and the team can start preparing for the big one against Newcastle. Let nacho man play the whole game!

Are you serious?  That lineup would give every Gillingham defender a new career goal …  THE achievement they could tell their grandkids about.

“Jamie Vardy?  Yes, I left a hella one on Jamie Vardy.  He didn’t play again for a month.”

Maddison

“It’s slow at the moment with James. It’s day by day. It wouldn’t be this week, but we’ll see how it is for next week.”

So is it day by day or week by week?

Brendan Rodgers - a man who contradicts himself from one sentence to the next.

Day by day, but only from next week.

I'm guessing he means they're assessing him day by day, but that he wouldn't be back in training this week, could be back in next week?

ESPN+ streaming every one of Saturday's Cup matches.

Wonder how many American viewers they'll get for Boreham Wood v Accrington Stanley?

We are a magnet for injuries in cup competitions especially, I really hope that key players can be rested. Just so annoying our academy is also riddled with injuries to our best players as well.

I'd play Top in the hole

Top in the whole, you say?

This thread is so doom and gloom.. I know it’s an early start, ball ache to get to, shit ground, open away end, will probably hammer down but can we at least have an ounce of positivity that we will be in the 4th round end of the month :scarf:

Such a shame Alves is out for a long time. I’m sure he would have featured here otherwise. I’d like to see brunt Braybrooke and macateer feature at some point possibly wormleighton too.  Sprinkle in with experience like nacho Marc and Mendy. I’m looking forward to this game but we need to win. Bit of cup magic on a Saturday in January. 💙

Gillingham are in free fall right now.  They narrowly missed the chance to escape the drop from League 1 last season and haven't been able to put together a string of results this time.  Their supporters must feel desperate right now and an FA Cup win would give them some solace but their focus has to be survival in League 2 this year so they may not even risk their best players.

If we can't beat a team with so many problems then we'll deserve to go out.

You are 100% correct, we do feel desperate and let down by the clowns on the pitch.

As for not risking our best players, 1, we don't have any best players and 2 , we don't have enough ayers to fill the bench.

Definitely less than what will be in the ground.

I always find it funny talking to Australian friends at work with the FA Cup. We have every game on Paramount streaming. I’m amazed at some of the games people talk to me about.
I think late at night, not much else on and for a sports fan. There was game in the last round I think between Forest Green and a non league side, I think kick off was around 11pm here. And two different people who I know love their sport, but asked me if I saw it. I think Forest Green scored a worldie but can’t say I ever saw it.

I think people outside of England love the fact an Fa Cup game can be played between amateurs and professionals, the Ed fact that Accrington and Man Utd are in the same competition is amazing and people love the idea of being able to take on the elite. Especially in countries that have franchises and no promotions and relegation.

That would be nice, he was in blistering form at the start of the academy season.

Get Logan Briggs in an'all.

...watched him in the last game, he just seem to flow with the ball at his feet, beats players quite easily, carries the ball well!!!

He seems to go past players with half the effort of Alves.
