Popular Post Parafox Posted 26 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 26 January 2023 In my opinion, Nadhim Zahawi is trying to evade lawful process having been sanctioned correctly by HMRC. A sanction he has paid in full. A sanction that is not imposed if a person/company has made a legitimate error. In my opinion, he should resign and also in my opinion Sunak should take leadership. In my opinion any ordinary employee/business person who was in Zahawi's position and under investigation by their senior managers (Sunak) would be suspended during the investigation process. In my opinion this will get shut down by tomorrow morning. I wish myself luck, but I believe I have a right to make my opinion heard. 10 1

Yeah, probably because there is already a politics thread and we don't need another?

Sorry Have you read ANY of the matchday posts or looked at the "Birds You Fancy Off The Telly" topic? Not to mention the "Unpopular Opinions You Hold" topic. Just 3 examples of opinions being shared. There's plenty of others Edit: Unless your post was a sarcastic dig at mods In which case, fair play. Edited 27 January 2023 by Parafox 3 2
Popular Post Sampson Posted 27 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 27 January 2023 (edited) In my opinion the Conservative Party doesn’t represent the moderate conservatives it claims to anymore. In my opinion I can understand moderate conservatism of the Ken Clark variety who wanted their country to be better while also appreciating the needs of other countries and working together as a continent and as a world. But also thinking things change slowly and dramatic societal change is not always best. In my opinion, since 2016, the party has been taken over by authoritarian isolationist like Patel, Rees-Mogg and Braveman who think patriotism is about flag waving and thinking people who were born in the UK are inherently better and inherently more worthy of help. In my opinion, even many die hard conservatives should be aghast and on the streets marching against bills turning people into literal 2nd class citizens, making certain strikes illegal and giving the government the power to shut down any protest they like. In my opinion, this government is eroding away the checks and balances that hold up democracy. In my opinion this kind of shit would be called anti-democratic authoritarianism or a banana republic if it was going on in Russia Edited 27 January 2023 by Sampson 8 7
Greg2607 Posted 27 January 2023 Posted 27 January 2023 in my opinion, my local MP.... a certain Mr Brigden has absolutely lost the plot. 2

They were at least a credible political party apart from having a few MPs shagging eachother. The modern Conservative Party treat the people of this country with such contempt and many of them are completely out of touch with reality. 11

st albans fox Posted 27 January 2023 Posted 27 January 2023 The question is why sunak hasn’t ditched him and is going through the enquiry when we all know what the enquiry will find the answer is that he (or members of his family) could well be in line for questions about their tax affairs and he wants precedent setting that there should be an investigation rather than trial and conviction by media. 2

Popular Post Spiritwalker Posted 28 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 28 January 2023 IMO the last 12 years of government has been the most corrupt, incompetent, undemocratic and damaging in this country’s history and it will take decades to recover from it. 3 3

Posters need to specify. Thanks.

In my opinion your post does not specify that you are expressing your opinion😜.
Daggers Posted 28 January 2023 Posted 28 January 2023 In my opinion, I care little for opinions. I love facts. And tuna & anchovies on pizza. I really love tuna & anchovies pizza. It’s the best imho.

My post isn’t opinion - it’s an observation which no one , from whatever side of the spectrum you come from, can have an issue with. I don’t really understand why an opinion is any different to what brings down any politics thread. Tbh, my post could have gone in the ‘also in the news’ thread but I noticed mnsr zahawi being discussed in here so placed it.
