The most frustrating thing is we have seen how talented, dangerous and capable this group of players is. The only thing that holds them back is how they are told to play by the manager.

We are more than capable of beating Spurs at home without a shadow of a doubt. But that will depend entirely how we are set up.

Yeah I mean that high line from Villa was suicide yesterday but you hope he keeps instructing them to run in behind like that. That front four will create chances against anyone imo

I think you might have skipped ahead...

Have I? Thought United played on Thursday 16th away and home to Leicester on 19th?

I think I worded it terribly, I was saying that out of the three fixtures, I was fairly confident in the spurs result and with United up next after spurs then anything can happen due to their European commitments

Can we put in a decent performance against these for once please! We've put in some shockers against them under Rodgers

Not just Rodgers, We have played spurs 20 times in all competitions since we got promoted, we have won 5 and drawn 3

This is a big test for us and to see if we've really turned a corner. We haven't performed against any of the big teams so far this season.

Would name the same team from Villa. And just attack Spurs. If we concede, so be it. But let's try and beat them on the front foot

A few games ago I was going into matches knowing that we'd lose. It didn't feel worth getting too emotionally involved in it. Something had to change in either getting new signings in,  getting players back from injury or, preferably, both.

I still expect us to lose against Spurs (we generally do and Kane will inevitably score), but at least I have hope. A decent result, whilst still improbable, no longer feels like an impossibility.

No he has to play a recognised defensive midfielder. I would start Mendy over KDH.

I disagree, one simple adage in sport " never change a winning team".

Besides which Mende is no Kante and Ndidi is frankly poor atm.

But if the choice was to drop KDH or Tielemans then it would be the belgian for me.

This is going to be abig test as we need to protect the Ball better, Otherwise they'll beat us with teir front 3.

I'd stick with the same line up as Youri and KDH offers more possession and attacking threat than NDiddi.

NDiddi is out of form lately and needs to step up his game. I think the new Wife is taking too much out of him.

We can beat the Spuds but we'll have to be even better than yesterday.

We can get at these. We’ll have confidence and a key attacking threat that Spurs won’t have faced before (unless they’ve played him in Europe?).

Bit concerned about how open we were against Villa. It was very easy to get out backline because the midfield were involved in the high press. It’s probably the way we’ll play against Spurs, but need to be wary of their counter attack. I can see it being a reverse of the Brighton home game, but hopefully we can bag a win.

Understandable about the new wife bit!!...having 26 must be knackering.

What a bizarre comment.

Just realised Kane is 1 goal away from the Spurs goals record.

Praying he gets it today. Can't be arsed with the statutory goal against us next week, let alone if that is the record-breaker.

Don't expect the same team, Rodgers was already back to being over confident in himself against Villa by changing to a back five when it wasn't really necessary. I fully expect a back five vs Spurs now and limiting ourselves rather than carrying on the same way.
