Telegraph: "Four years on, the Brendan Rodgers formula is still Leicester City's best bet"

Four years on and this team still can't pass their way out of even the softest press, weak as piss mentally and physically, steetwise? Hahahaha, must be thickest bunch of footballers ever assembled, apart from a few, led by master tactition and elite COACH, Brendan.

He’s not the best option when worse managers would get far more out of this side now.

The modern era and history suggests he's no longer the best bet, managers effectiveness wears off, the longer they are at clubs and certainly after several years.

Rodgers is brilliant at clubs from the off but for a set period, which is why I don't understand the preciousness about the notion of him moving on. We've benefitted massively from him inheriting an underperforming squad with a nucleus of once in a generation mavericks such as Vardy and Kasper.

We have to ace the next 2 transfer windows and he has to do something he's never done before and reinvent himself at a work place he's been at a long while and the players and fans have become numb to the stuff he prattles on about.

I think he deserves and we deserve a new start and a new challenge. It is unlikely to happen though so we have to hope and pray something very unlikely happens.

New article from John Percy in the Telegraph - some intriguing bits in there, particularly about Rodgers' relationship with Schmeichel. JP perhaps toeing the party line a bit and overlooks some of Rodgers flaws, but an interesting piece nonetheless.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of this propaganda

He's right. We score loads of goals and a lot of the time the football is wicked. We've had periods where we keep clean sheets and i'd admit that needs work to get it back to the required level, hopefully we get a propoer goalkeeper in. The biggest negative that comes with Brendan for me is the mental weakness throughout the side when it comes to crunch moments and i've been saying that a lot longer than most on here. The positives outweigh the negatives and the players go out and play for him and the heirarchy of the club trust him. I see no reason to rock the boat.

Lol this got 21 likes 8 days ago. If it was posted today it would have 21 laugh reacts.

Oh come now. The Telegraph's journalists are well-paid morally upright men and women who uphold British values and would sternly wave off bags of cash or any kind of favour were it offered to them, which it wasn't, and never would be, and never has been. Amen.

I have no idea what hold Rodgers has over the media but I’m convinced if we go down they’ll still write ‘he tried his best’ or some such utter fookin tripe.

Another example of the image over substance world that we live in. The image of Rodgers far outweighs the substance of Rodgers. Christ, I even read last week he’s being considered for the Spuds job if Conte goes at the end of the season.

Do none of these pundits, writers actually watch Leicester play?!

I generally like Percy (though he's blocked me today for digging this out lol) but he was horribly wide of the mark on this. A terrible article.

What a prat lol thought he was better than that.

For the most part, not really. They're paid by commercial companies to pander to the millions of big-6 fans so those fans will watch the adverts and so make the channels profitable.

in fairness I would rather kill myself than watch any more games like Southampton Away so that's a partially accurate description

I always thought the Telegraph was for loony right wing cranks so not to be taken seriously.

Most right wing rags have great sport reporting to be fair.
