Pathetic and toothless. Didn't lay a hand on them all game.

How can you give up 70% possession at home, and come away without a yellow card. They expected to lose and didn't show any aggression at all.

Didn’t someone in this thread say something like ‘happy with that we gave it our all against a better side’ or something lol

Yeah I think it was 2 years ago that someone actually said that and meant it 😂

Spineless, soulless, sh*t football.

We bloody deserve to be relegated.

It is just not fair for the name of football if we still stay up.

Plenty on here deserve it too

No mate, you are absolutely wrong.

Everybody is trying and fighting.

Take a look at our stats in Arsenal game.

Absolute sh'tshow. No guts at all.

The other point from today was the lack of football we got to watch for the last 20 minutes of the game. This is meant to be an entertainment business but we barely saw any semblance of actual on-field play. Ref Pawson seemed unable or unwilling to challenge the gamesmanship that Arsenal were obviously doing. The continual play acting and time wasting was enabled by the ref and only 5 mins extra time was criminal.

Would we have realistically scored, even if they weren't playing for time or if the ref had added 10 mins on? Doubt it

I know it's only a 1-0 loss to the team that's top of the league but today felt like the worst yet. Absolutely nothing about us right from 2pm when the team was announced all the way to the final whistle. The standards at the club are non existent and its filtered into the fanbase

We had some serious momentum going into the game against Man U and only poor finishing and some miraculous goalkeeping prevented it continuing at Old Trafford. Rodgers then lost his bottle and reverted to type. He impsoes his negativity on the team. Confidence going into the game against Southampton will now be low. It's a huge 6 pointer and if he tries to set us up not to lose we almost ceratinly will. I'm with the vast majority on here and have wanted him out for the best part of two seasons now, but i'm afraid Top doesn't have the bottle to get rid. Our xG today is in itself a sackable offence! If we survive this season it'll be in spite of this fraud.

They're a lot better than 90% of the teams in this league, but that doesn't stop teams from having a go.

I never said it did, I said they’re a lot better than us.

It's hard to do anything when the opposition are constantly falling over, getting free kicks for f-all

Behave yourself. Wouldn't have scored or had a shot on target if we'd have still been playing now

What an appalling game of football, total of 3 shots off target 2 on.

Fair enough were not that good and even worse without Madders but they're top of the PL supposedly the best league in Europe if not the World and they were shite.

Well you'd expect that looking at the money spent and the respective league positions.

That's not really the point. If the timewasting isn't dealt with they may as well declare results after the first goal.

Not if Barnes when  one on one turns back instead of taking him on. What was there to lose in trying.

Abject performance with no agression. Probably on Brendan's instructions.

We were playing at home. We delivered little fight and hardly any passion. Even when we lost last week, for the first half we  the strongest team. We are talking about a team of mainly international footballers after all. Our league position is because we are not playing well enough- not solely because of the money spent. How come we pulverised Spurs and Villa. They have spent significantly more money than us.

Maybe but Arsenal stopped any potential momentum by continually stopping the match. Look at notts forest last week, created nothing against Man City but right near the end got one chance. Arsenal didn’t allow enough football for that one good chance by stopping the match.
