Not a chance we get him now. Last summer yeah.

He might be perfectly happy in the Netherlands and want to stay there long-term, but I still think he would consider most Premier League sides, even if he wins the Eredivisie this season - the money alone would be more than he can get in any other league. He's fluent in English - no language barrier like in Spain or Germany.

If he did want to come to the PL, he's not going to walk into a big 6 job, and he's not going to get a job at an overperforming PL side. That probably rules out United, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford, Fulham. There's a bunch of bottom half teams that have recently appointed new managers. Palace maybe attractive but they will want someone in immediately, and I'm not convinced he leaves Netherlands before the end of the season. If he has any ambitions to manage over here, it would most likely have to be at a middle-of-the-road side who he could build something with - Southampton, Leeds, Bournemouth, West Ham, Leicester - surely we are a half decent option in that mix?

Might be talking myself into it.

EDIT: Just to add, there have been reports that suggest Feyenoord would look to bring in Jon Dahl Tomasson from Rovers if Slot moves in the summer. So it sounds like there is succession planning going on.

I might be wrong but this rubbish talk of having to get a manager with previous pl experience is nonsense. Seem to remember Pochetino going to Southampton and they were only 3 or 4 points off the relegation zone. I’m not suggesting Pochetino would be interested in coming to us now. But look abroad and there’s plenty readily available.

We had a scout at the game last night. Probably looking at Kokcu - praying that Slot is at least on our radar.

Wasn't just looking at 1 player at that game there was multiple.

A few Leicester scouts have been at games across Europe yesterday. AZ, Royal Union and Villarreal all had Leicester representatives in attendance.

Not an unrealistic appointment if we stay up. If Rodgers is on £8m a year, you can appoint a very good manager with that money. Look at the appointments of Emery and Lopetgui as comparisons.

The issue is that we need them now. The other issue is that if Brendan achieves his "greatest managerial achievement" and keeps us up... he wont lose his job.

The only real option is that we sack him and get a caretaker to get us over the line. I think this makes the most sense because even if they fail, we would need a different type of candidate for the championship anyway.

In an ideal world, he keeps us up - his arse-licking media mates all rave about what a great achievement it is at a club like ours - and then Spurs bring him in to replace Conte.

I would ****ing love it if we got Postecoglou. He’s exactly what we need long term, but he won’t fix things in 4 weeks.

In terms of stop gaps until the end of the season who would probably be wiling to do so... Slaven Bilic? Might help us become a little less soft at least. Bit underwhelming I know but we're in no position to take the likes of Slot on right now

Slaven Fookin Bilic!

Are we scraping that low now?

Whisper it quietly, but we might be better off sticking with Brendan.

The players havent fully given up on him and we dont appear to have an internal candidate who can step in to steer us through until the end of the season.

The list of options for palace was sickening... theres no way id prefer roy hodgson here.  Cross your fingers and hope for a miracle!

Fingers crossed they’re looking in the Championship too! Battle hardened for our league, playing twice a week most of them and many good enough for the prem as the recently promoted teams are showing. Blackburn gave us a right doing in the cup, with young hungry players, having made changes too. The gap is closing, and we continue to look in the French league!
