Postecoglou if we survive?

Already rebuilt one Club that Rodgers burnt to the ground. He's got good links to the Asia market too, of which, I'm sure the Club would be more than willing to take advantage of. I was impressed by how they took the game to Leipzig, rather than play how we do. He seems the complete opposite of Rodgers, is willing to take the game to better European opponents, and not suffering from some kind of 'Inferiority complex' or making excuses.

Burnt to the ground?  Wtf.  They completed a treble after Rodgers left. They are a dominant force in their league.

Your post is hyper bowl as some might say

Not another bloody Celtic manager as others has said it’s a two team league up there and Celtic are the Man City of the league it’s a minimum requirement for the manager to win the league.

Don’t really see the point in this thread when we still currently have a manager in charge.

Unless you think he's going to be here for the rest of time - a fate which I admittedly am increasingly resigned to - I think it's fair enough to discuss who we might want to replace him with. In the absence of a pretty unprecedented turnaround he will hopefully be gone in the summer, if not sooner, at which point we would typically want to appoint someone else to do his job. Of course if you were, theoretically, really desperate for him to continue working his magic indefinitely then I can see why it's not a discussion you'd want to have. Alas, all good things must come to an end, more's the pity.

Similarly, there's nothing to indicate Vardy will be off at the end of the season either but that doesn't mean it's pointless to discuss who we might want to replace him with, same with any other employee at the club who is contracted to be here beyond the immediate future but may not be.

If Boro don't go up I'd like to see Carrick here. Someone who's young, hungry to prove their stock in the Premier League and has a set of fresh ideas will be fantastic if we have to fully rebuild our squad.

Theses young hungry managers need more experience I feel, Lampard, Gerrard, Scott Parker all took the step up to early.

If we stay up sadly BR will not go anywhere.

Can only see him leaving if we go down.

Well it seems the only defence of Rodgers being in a job is either;

a) "WhO wE gOnNa RePlAcE hIm WiTh?!?!?!?!" (Had people literally squaring up to me, getting in my face, shouting this at me at the Chelsea game...leave off with the aggro eh?)

or

b) "It's too late"

So in order to debate those points, certainly point a, this allows an outlet for that discussion and forward thinking.

Personally, who do we replace him with, I don't know, all I know is there are options and managers available (Before you or others pull me up on my Nagelsmann comment that was tongue in cheek, i'd have hope the  after it would have made that blatantly obvious) and it's certainly no reasoning to justify his position.

People can't go round shouting about who are we gonna replace him with then also say we shouldn't be discussing this, we already have a manager. You can't have it both ways.

It’s you that keeps shouting this, the point was debated ad infinitum many moons ago. It’s a forum, everything is us for debate, albeit preferably including new discussions every once in a while, rather than banging the same tired drums over and over again…

Kind of like saying we shouldn’t have pre-match threads as that match hasn’t happened or shut the transfer forum as it’s speculation.

It’s all part of posting on a forum and in current times, as I said above, just imagining a time without Rodgers helps with the current plight.

The fact nothings changing, despite the clear and obvious steady decline and going round in circles makes it hard to create new discussion and makes it hard not to keep banging those same tired drums over and over.

This is the position and situation we find ourselves in/the club, have allowed us to be in.

They aren’t the only two defences, you just don’t take on and consider any information when you’ve had the other side of it explained to you.

I am sorry to hear you had to deal with that at the Chelsea game, though. No one deserves that over an opinion on football.

Lucho would be an incredible coup, but I'm sure he's already high up on Spurs' list as well as the likes of AC Milan or Inter who will I'm sure will be on the look out for new managers sooner rather than later

Think Spurs will go for Arnie Slot while Nagelsmann will go to a Spanish club

He's exactly who they should go for.

It's now about who manages us i the championship next season, you'd love an exciting young coach in the mould of Kompany but you know it will be an uninspiring appointment like Wilder or Smith.
