We need something crazy and unexpected to kickstart our season and it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

1-2 away win. Souttar and Vardy 88th and 91st minute. I was going to go 0-2 but even I’m not that fanciful.

But we've had that numerous times already. Happened last V Spurs. We can't rely on "crazy and unexpected" once in a while, we'll be down and deserve to go down.

There's nothing more that wakes you up to smell the coffee than being in the actual relegation zone or rooted to the bottom in 20th.

I think Top will act if we to slip to the bottom, he has to as time is running out.

Can't see anything other than a Brentford win today IF we play Brendan Ball with a bunch of misfits again...

I’m hoping that Palace sacking Viera may have woke up Top especially if we lose today.

I think dropping into the bottom 3 this afternoon will do it... If they don't realise the situation then, I don't know when they will. Perhaps when we are playing Woking away?

For the sake of your sanity dont do this to yourself, you'll just be even more disappointed if we lose and when Brendan will still be here regardless.

Even if we lose Top isn’t going to act, he’s hedged his bets on Brendan and won’t be proven the fool.

As for the game, if we go with 3cbs we lose but if we don’t and go for it we stand a chance.

Yes but we lost and I was just trying to lighten the mood. Runs start off things like that ans a moment of good fortune.  Unexpected things do happen. If we can’t be positive it doesn’t bode well for the players either. They are human and need our support and encouragement.

I really hope Iversen steps up…

Could be a disaster for us if he has a stinker, and Ward is demoralised from bad performances and being dropped. Bit of a risk to try this after January window, but fingers crossed. I do think Iversen should have been tried months ago in the league.

Smithies may be our only keeper with any sort of confidence left if this goes badly wrong.

EDIT: I say it’s a risk, it feels like nothing can be worse than Ward, but the Southampton keeper is worse statistically, for example. It could get worse for us even though it doesn’t feel like it now.

Nope, the feeling of match day excitements has definitely gone.

As numerous (myself included) have said, for my own sanity, think I’ll just ignore it’s even happening today - that has never happened before.

I dont understand..many of you...

In our position, situation I feel hurt.

Every loss ruins the day to a point.

But this is a pastime, ranging from a small part to a big part of any given part of  my day or week, I surf all "decent" sport platforms.keep away from clickbait.

I follow the serious interviews and given statements from club & manager...

Know who is injured right to K.O.

Watch most games parallel to FT match thread occasionally.

Like all men I become that little kid in me again..

I follow sportwise all things Leicester,

& @davieG nostalgia or "cutouts" on city football or social, plus Tigers, cricket or shoveapenny coverage.

A few hrs afterwards,Like when I was competing or playing myself, but shove it..it's gone as an emotional irritant,no ruined weekend/week, but will click into fair, badweather posts & discussion.

Being a fan,I suppose I am a sports fanatic....city winning the title FA.cup,I was all over the place for a week driven,by our story and the proud emotion of it..

I will never see the 2 "5th" places of failure..like all "also rans" we didn't have the players available( names on board, but not gamefit after chronic injuries) & that every season EOS run-in, not the mental fitness for the final push.A proves the difference in squad experience & quality..L'pool & Manutd again having runs,to pull them into competing for  European places, even Chelsea could come with a late charge, even though they were all struggling...Top 6,stays top 6, no matter what Newcastle do,unless they break in for 3-5 seasons..

Not even Leicester cracked it, just an inconvenient irritant...

But no remote pastime will ruin my life, weekend or week.No tears if we have to face relegation...I am not a player directly involved.

Though still look forward to the Rugby and Foxes gameday build up..

When we play Palace: "The Club were happy to lose 5-0 here before I came. Now we're disappointed to only lose by 4"

I would be very happy with a boring 0-0. Just want to see the team show some fight are care going into international break and that we can actually defend.

But in my heart of hearts I know Toney is going to score in the first 10mins and we capitulate

It's going to go like this - We'll pass the ball around, maybe create some half decent chances, we'll miss a few sitters because confidence has gone, then as soon as we come under pressure we'll make a mistake and they'll score first. And then we're ****ed. We can't get back into the game. Heads will drop. Brendan will make a few substitutions - bring on some even more sh*te players which makes things even worse. We'll concede another goal. The away end will be completely flat and silent. Top will completely ignore the result and pretend we're not getting relegated. End of story.

Says something  about the current predicament  that I'm actually thinking about going shopping with the Mrs this Arvo and have no interest in even following what I know will be an easy defeat for us!
