He is for sure, but he’s lightweight when we are in game where we don’t have much possession. Talking to the players is one thing, but we’ve seen time and time again that if an opposition midfielder stamps on him he goes missing.

I love watching Tielemans play in a side dominating the game. He’s our best CM by a mile. But we aren’t dominating games anymore.
eg. I doubt we’ll have most of the possession against Palace.

He’s lightweight to a degree but the alternatives aren’t any better.

I also fully expect that we will have the possession against a Hodgson side. Palace will give the ball up and look to use their pace in wide areas.

Ricardo - Souttar - Faes - Kristiansen

       Maddison - Ndidi - KDH

   Tetê     -     Daka     -     Barnes

Would go with the above. Daka for his pressing and Ndidi for his physicality.

This but if VK isn't ready Timmy at LB

Not a clue which way this goes. Could see us win 2-0, lose 2-0 or another drab draw.

Just put in a decent performance is all I want.

Agree on both points. City are unbelievably difficult to predict, so I often look for 'out of the box' indicators. The best I could think of for this game is that it's being played on April 1st, so maybe the lads will make fools of the doom-mongers (myself included) who fear the worst!

Based on meeting the Queen, we should win 2-1

But if you factor in the Queen liking Hodgson or Rodgers, we will lose 1-0

Oh god…… is it that time again? This has to be the first season that I’ve ever looked forward to the international breaks. 😞

I disagree I dread the dull and boring international breaks and they seem to always drag on forever. I like the actual big tournaments though.

Can we get Andy King back l wonder?

This reminds me of my favourite ever sports headline when Gerry Queen got in a punch-up with several Man City players during an evening match a Selhurst park.

The Guardian headline was - "QUEEN IN BRAWL AT PALACE".

Might not be enough to keep us out the bottom 3 but we need to make sure we at least avoid defeat. 7 points from this week is crucial, however they come. Probably more likely to win away to Palace then beat Villa at home though given our home/away records.

I've got a strong feeling Nacho scores if he plays in this, gerrim back in.

I'd sooner lose taking the game to them, fcuk credible draws at this stage.

We have lost 16 games 9 by the odd goal.

If we'd turned 5 of those 9 into draw we would be 12 with 30 points.

Being hard to beat is massive, Brentford have pick up 12 points from draws out of the 42 points.

We will obviously concede, Woy is back to tighten things up and the Palace support will be right up for this one.

We are in for a torrid time, a draw at best for me.

Nailed on defeat I'm afraid. Palace put seven points between us and Roy is feted as their saviour.

At least a draw leaves relegation rivals in sight , old cliche of the six pointer.

Crystal Palace without a win in 2023

Zaha without a goal or assist in the league since November

Hodgson back as manager

Leicester unbeaten vs Palace and Hodgson since Rodgers joined

Absolute banker for a Palace win with Zaha scoring or assisting at least once

Completely agree over the course of the season it would've made a massive impact but because we haven't draws aren't good enough now. We need to pull a run of wins together because this squad under Rodgers won't win in a genuine must win situation.

No we haven't. That's why could of done with Tielemans back. We're not going to get out of this by 'scrapping' or 'fighting'. It's not in our nature. We're too nice. The only way we'll get out of it is under Rodgers is by getting on the ball and playing football. We've still got a better squad than a lot of the teams down there, defensively we're clearly struggling, so the only way we're going to stay up in my eyes is through good moments of play and scoring goals.

See Wolves, Everton, West Ham, Villa, Tottenham, looked top 8 in those games.

Crucially on this run in for Gods sake Madders do not pick up 2 bookings in the next 5, so many of his bookings have been absolute frustration with us, the ref, the opposition, he can't miss games!!!!

It's about build a point total.

Whether that 4 wins for 12 points or 3 wins a 3 draws for 12 points.

I'd like us to be unbeaten in the next 3, draw agasint Palace also stops them picking up 3 points.

Ideal if we can get 2 wins and a draw out of Palace A, Villa H and Bournemouth H, we will be in a good place.

The most obvious loss for Charity Soft Underbelly FC I've ever seen.

As much as I agree, I said the same thing about Brentford away & we came away with a result.

Yep, and off of the top of my head, within that you've got Southampton x2 + Bournemouth. 4 points less for Southampton, 2 less for Bournemouth and 3 more for us would be huge right now.
