good window in the end?

I'm just pulling your collective leg, leaving everything until the last couple of hours of deadline day is embarrassing lack of planning - we've thrown away so many points with our piss-poor squad throughout January that we could now be in a relegation scrap. Well done for wasting half the window trying to get Antonio's legs to work. :appl:

And STILL no actual striker. We've got two wastemen who will be nursing themselves until their contract expires in the summer, and a teenager on loan who's by all accounts a midfielder.

Absolutely not defending Rudkin but if you had a half decent career, would you come here? We're in the brown stuff and only desperate, half fit or half retired players needing a shop window or a pay rise will come here.

Does it Make you conspiracy theorists on here think he’s got something on Top ???????

dunno about that. i just think rudkin is one of those sleazy guys you see in business/life who's basically groomed him (psychologically) and top is blind to his deficiencies. I'd imagine he utilized his dad's death as the catalyst.

i've mentioned it on here before but i spoke to someone years ago who was close to the club (rodgers tenure) and he had nothing nice to say about Rudkin. said he was a nasty person.

Unfortunately if we are only in a position loan players then it will always be towards the back end of the window.

Clubs usually want to sell these players, so won’t offer a loan until they realise a sale isn’t possible.

I met someone once who told me he stops speaking when rudkin is in the room because rudkin uses what he hears and feeds it back top to make him look better. Was also kept away from a fairly major gathering amongst ex players and staff last year.

Pretty much every club does deals right at the end of the window, it's just the market. This isn't unique to LCFC and a bit of a pissy argument.

At least with Top calling him bad cop in the interview, he knows the fans hate him. Probably the views of everyone in the club too (apart from Top - annoyingly the most important view)

Bad cop.

Just plain bad would sum it up.

a large part due to with lining their pockets. which i suspect a certain someone may be benefiting from going by some of the bizarre signings we've done in the last 7 or so years.

I think good people would come, anyone who backs themselves sees this a a great club to turn around. The issue I think would likely be having players chosen for you and dictation from Rudkins football department

Management-wise maybe but player-wise you look at your potential team mates, the club situation - debt, deductions, no promotion prospects - and whether you'd be retained long term and we're looking shaky on all those fronts.

I don't know I still feel we are quite a proposition for some players with the right attitude, imagine being one of the group of lads that does eventually turn this around, the fans would love that and will appreciate players who give their all. If a group of good players come (Like James) in we could be promoted with some consistency, this division is largely terrible. This club is still a fairly big club and one with recent success, there are worse places by far. I wish the club was better ran but its unlikely to change, so I suppose we have to hope they get lucky in a way.

He needs to be sacked or resign to enable us to move on.

Having him linger around the club will cost us certain managers too...

How he has survived 2 relegations, outstayed Whelan and cost the club millions and millions I do not know

Spot on!

The problem is, he will be swayed to not because of the lack of other senior roles we have within the club.

Seriously hope Top shows some bottle and hands him his P45

Lots of questions being asked now from respected journalists. I dont think he will get sacked obviously, but there is at least some pressure starting to mount.

Whilst its Tops dreadful leadership thats got us here, im not sure anyone else has single handedly done more damage to the club than this guy. Between them they have managed to destroy us and neither have faced any repercussions, if anything this chancer keeps getting rewarded for being a failure.

He really does have the black belt in the ‘lucky to still have a job’ category.

Other than making it Political and current I can’t think of anyone luckier to remain despite repeated failings than this man.
