This whole restructure thing looks so stupid now. Do you really need all these layers and levels in League 1?

They were that arrogant. Pretended it wasn't going to happen.

He has power, because he's only been with one organisation (LCFC) and possibly has gone through the ranks to where he is now by bypassing interviews (just got new roles due to his longevity and vast club knowledge).

Am a bit surprised that he hasn't been interviewed via an interview, Q-and-A-style, by the press with his comments to various aspects posed to him and then put on a BBC Sport article etc.

Which has happened with other club's staff in his role in the past.

You say this all the time.

The media have asked time after time after time for Rudkin to do this. And he won’t. He won’t even have an interview on his terms

Rudders is truly a one off

You should ask anyone who’s ever been in a room with him when the owner is around…

He cannot survive. He may be his mate. There may be some misplaced loyalty. Whatever the reason he is going to bankrupt the club if this carries on. All these things only go so far when all your money is at stake!

I think it's possible that Top might secretly like to fire Rudkin, but he hasn't got the confidence or know-how to do it. It takes a strong personality to look someone in the eye and tell them they're exiting. He's possibly never fired anyone in his life, at least not at LCFC where Rudkin or Whelan would surely have done all the hiring and firing for him.

If he did an interview now it would be Prince Andrew moment. Perhaps Rudkin doesn’t sweat as well.

Admittedly yes.

But wonder if he declined to do so because he's arrogant, would be embarrassed to do so or simply think that it wouldn't benefit either party or something else.

I've said it since Rodgers days started to fall apart.

They never think what if?

They don't don't tread with caution, and they don't do contingency plans or try to look to all possible scenarios.

I believe this is because Top is the son of a billionaire, and very little goes wrong when you're one of those, you never have money worries or worry about what happens when things don't go to plan. This has always been a big part of our problem, and why we are so blasé about everything, until it does go wrong, but then we never learn the lesson, and I doubt Rudkin cares about Top walking into mistake after mistake, as long as he gets paid, why should he put his neck on the line?

Literally Top’s reaction in the stands on Tuesday was like we’d inexplicably and unexpectedly lost an fa cup third round tie to Scunthorpe rather than the hurtling car crash that it is.

A missed opportunity to challenge Aiyawatt the other night.

If you're responsible why don't you resign? If you don't want to then how do you plan to hold John Rudkin as Senior Executive to account.

It was a time to demand a clear response and accountability process. The very least Aiyawatt should be doing is considering his position; he'll have left thinking he's poured oil on troubled waters.

Yep, the problem with the idea, that we have to talk on his wavelength to get him to communicate, is then the issues never get tackled, what next?  Do these people get invited to meeting with senior management, and then proceed to talk about things are not related to the core problems, because of the fear if they talk about what needs to be talked about they will just get off.  Thats no better than being cut off.

Listened to Steve on BTG podcast who said he looked like a scared owl when being questioned, think he meant rabbit in the headlights. He lives in a different world to the rest of us, all we can hope is he's having a steep learning curve and something sinks in before its too late, if it isn't too late already

He could so easily instantly create a better feeling at the club by sacking Rudkin before tomorrow’s game. Do that and bring in proper football people.

I am really hoping there has been a very open honest discussion that both he and Aiyawatt have realised it’s best for all parties for him to step down and it will be announced in the coming days.

Even by our dysfunctional standards, would be remarkable for him to carry on in post after the shambolic leadership of the footballing operations.

I thought the revamp was a vieled acknowledgement that it was not working and Rudders needed to be making less key decisions - a promotion on paper but a lessening of influence. This relegation

though has made that decision look even more ridiculous and his presence at the club is completely untenable.

Im sure we'll be fine. Rudkin has worked for some big companies in the past with his CV ranging from Blockbuster, Kodak and Toys 'R' Us.
