Enzo went on record saying Yunus wasn't quick or strong enough to play out wide and he had to move him inside (a position he's not played very often before) - indication he wasn't the 1 v 1 type winger that Enzo commands.

Tom Cannon he barely played, really bizarre signing. We needed another option out wide that could potentially play up front, we got a striker who's previous strong spell at Preston was in a front two and we didn't play a front two very often even when chasing games.

Enzo said on numerous occasions that Coady and Doyle were too slow which meant they couldn't play with Vestergaard. Really odd that we signed not one but two defenders who were slow when Maresca repeatedly said we needed more pace in the back line.

Only a year ago had they gone and paid way over the odds for a backs to the wall CB in Harry Souttar despite Top demanding our managers play like Man City and not surprisingly the said managers quickly didn't use him.

We sign more players unsuited to possession based football than do, it's somewhat odd. Nearly all strikers we've signed in recent years have come from clubs or their vood form with us is where they've excelled in a front two (Iheanacho, Daka, Cannon). And we wonder why we struggle to find a striker who can challenge Vardy and we recruit managers who seldom play 2 up front.

I can't believe there is any club in the country that make 8 or 9 signings where all are a perfect fit and go straight into the first team. It's completely unrealistic to think otherwise.

Coady would have started ahead of Vestergaard if he wasn't injured. The signing made good sense. Leadership and a ball playing centre back. Vestergaard was probably not expected to turn into such a key player.

I'm pretty sure Enzo would have given his support for signing Doyle given his knowledge of him at Man City.

Yunus was a pretty low risk option that could have been useful given his experience at a higher level.

The jury is still out on Cannon, but we shouldn't lose too much money on him if it doesn't work out.

A masterclass would be nearly every signing being PL standard. They're way off.

So it’s only a good transfer window if a Championship club signs players that are all PL standard? On a limited budget? Come on!

I didn’t call it a masterclass anyway. That’s a term you came up with.

Tbf last seasons signings were probably closer to being premier league standard than a few of the previous windows in the Prem! Tbh our business since about 2018 has been largely awful.

There isn't a better man marker at the club.

At least someone competent and experienced in Susan Whelan is at the club.

Am not convinced that Top has the required experience to successfully lead the club.

Just think Rudkin is still in his job due to his length of club service and prior academy background.

The relationship between Top and Rudkin is genuinely quite weird

Hope the duo are celebrating because they've got the right manager in, secretly, ready to be unveiled soon..

“So what you’re saying Jon is everything is cool and under control and I don’t need to worry it’s all sorted , manager, players , FFP you’re all over it . That’s great because y ‘ know the new missus hates football and wants me  to spend time looking at curtains and furniture so I’ve been neglecting the football side “

I think it's sweet that Top and Jon go on cruises together.

Although a bit miffed as I would've bet my house on Jon being a Speedos with white socks and sandals type of guy.

If you didn't know the cartoon you'd think it was a cartoon of him

I’d have more respect if Jon’s disappearing acts were him on holiday with the wife and the kids. Not holding his boss pisser when he nips to the loo.
