Has Vardy won a 50-50 ball all season? He doesn’t get into goal scoring positions anymore and defenders don’t respect him anymore…sigh

Have we won many 50-50 balls all season is probably the better question. No intensity from the team all season!!! Let's hope the new management team can inspire the lads!

Am concerned that Faes/Soyuncu will have a bomb-scare moment against the forwards.

Think Maddison and Tielemans should play a half each.

When Turkey played against Norway 3 years ago Cags turned Haaland into corner pole and Haaland ended up being subbed around 60th minute by Norwegian coach.

I'm not suggesting that it will be the same again but no harming the crossing fingers though.

Cags must play.

Man City are obviously a phenomenal side but there’s just something about how they play that I feel if you wanted to play the ugliest way possible to get a point you could do so, hope we do just that

Soyuncu has been abysmal in a back 3 every time. Although this time it will generally be a back 5. Soyuncu and Faes together is scary.

Tielemans starting is too much of a risk for me, especially given the amount of defensive work he will have to do. Like the front 3 though, with a fully fit Tielemans too it would suit all of them.

Except the colossal performances vs Man Utd and Chelsea in the FA Cup. Pretty sure there's been other decent games as well.

He was turning out half decent performances 3 years ago

So long as Everton don't win, and forest on Sunday, we have a chance.

If The toffemen win, we are fcked before a ball is kicked. But it might give us a lil lift if they foul up.

I'm popping a.ton on an Everton win tomorrow. Gives us a bit of hope, or gives me 100 quid towards a hooker

We have to accept that tomorrow we could go rock bottom of the league before we eventually climb out of the relegation zone.

5-0 Man City.....

I'm feeling more confident (it was 10 -0 on Sunday)

...Known is not a clueless commentator,  he obviously meant a central defensive midfielder!!!

Nope, he said we’ve had a problem with set pieces, and we keep playing mendy as a central defender, besides, playing mendy this season has been the least of our problems

Yeah you are right mate.

Our current defenders doing an excellent job turning our defense line into M1

How many times will Wout and Soyboy pass it to Haaland in our defensive third? Hopefully we keep it to single figures. 😅

They brushed aside Bayern like they were Wigan.

Get with the program. Brendan gone.

We ain't doing none of that passing shit no more! It's a new dawn. 🤣

Ignore it if it bothers you.

What’s more worrying for me is someone is willingly leaking the news from within. Are you concerned @Bert? Is there still disharmony in this squad? Or is that the wrong vibe?

Honestly I don't get this, a load of tosh. Vardy has been poor this season in his running, getting into space, reactions and when he does get an opportunity, he's fluffed it. So making this comparison with Haaland is proposterous. Yes he's probably had less service but he has had opportunities. Just not been good enough that's all.

That's the point though, in Rodgers 'system', by the time we even get the ball to the halfway line, the opposition have had the opportunity and enough time to get back deep in defence with a fag on and there is no room for Vardy to make any runs. The days of the sort of balls over the top or through the channels that he used to thrive on are long gone!

The fact that Maddison and Barnes are our top scorers tells you all you need to know about support and opportunities given to any of our three strikers. They've been feeding on very infrequent scraps which also has an effect on confidence.

I actually think man city are gonna have an off day which will make it worse when they win 1-0.

Revenge of the sweet prince:riyad:

Maybe we could pull off an unbelievablely lucky win. The ball  could rebound of the bar, hit Ederson's arse and go into the net. Grealish and Haaland could have a punch up and both get sent off in the 4th minute. VAR could have an incredible bad day and disallow all their goals. Or even something just simple like all our players would be really up for it and they could be a little complacent to create the biggest upset of the season.

Up early and dreading the game.

Is there anyway we can get anything from this one?

Nope we are shït and they are good.

Feels like all week they must have been trying to uncoach Brendan ball out of the players.

I really hope we are going to be a bit more progressive now and not just pass for the sake of it. They need to pick their passes at the right times and if it means more direct in to channels etc then so be it.

That's why I would like Daka to start with Iheanacho as he has genuine pace to do the running for the direct balls in behind. No point pretending Vardy is up to that anymore.
