Option 1 for me please. Cags looked hungry to get out there in the first training video. I am sure someone said on here that he had a really strong performance with Turkey recently as well?

I’d go for Tielemans for Mendy

Iversen

Souttar Faes Soyuncu

Castagne Tielemans Ndidi Kristiansen

Maddison

Iheanacho Vardy

Ah, Cags get wheeled out for Man City again.

Happy enough with that, team pretty much picks itself without wide options.

Wow would be surprised with that but pleased.

Roughly how I would've gone, maybe with Tete instead of Vardy for the pace.

Cags trying to mark Grealish is a red card waiting to happen, assuming they both play.

I'd have gone straight up to Soyuncu on Tuesday morning and goaded him in to 8 games of HATE and aggression. Go out with a bang Caglar, it's been an absolute disgrace he's barely been used this season.

If Rodgers had fvcked off a few months ago I'd have agreed with this.

I was actually thinking a couple days ago, I think the damage is probably done with Cags. I think it's unfair to assume a lot of the players don't care because they think they're all leaving. Most will definitely want to graft to keep us up I think.

But honestly Cags has every right to be completely disillusioned and if its true he pretty much has a contract lined up already somewhere else he's probably too big a risk.

Let's not forget his Bournemouth meltdown the other year as well. He's never been our best under pressure.

They play on opposite sides don’t they? Did well at our place.

Like that except for the inclusion of Vardy. Think Daka is a better bet these days if you want pace up top.

Hmmm, I’d probably go with Mendy and Daka myself, but otherwise about right

Thanks, but it's not really beneficial to leak - no?

Happy days

I think he will play flat back 4 with Mendy and Wilf protecting them. Madders forced left because of Barnes injury. Denis no. 10 & Tetê right wing. Nacho up front.

I'd go with mendy for ndidi but I think 2 up front will suit vardy and give him a chance to show he still has it in the new style of play.

If he doesn't 5 subs mean you can bring Daka on for him at half time without worrying

I think at this point, rather like succumbing to a long-term illness there is very little expectation of a remedy or pulling through. I seriously doubt that there is either the fight or the will to continue. This season has been like a long drawn out capitulation towards the inevitable. Dean Smith's assisted suicide could be rapid and quickly put us out of our misery. We are dying an inglorious and ignominious death in the Premier League. If we do survive another season it is simply a stay of execution. I do however think that long-term this club has the potential to be reborn, but it may take several seasons of Championship football.

Ignore it if it bothers you.

Soyuncu has been abysmal in a back 3 every time. Although this time it will generally be a back 5. Soyuncu and Faes together is scary.

Tielemans starting is too much of a risk for me, especially given the amount of defensive work he will have to do. Like the front 3 though, with a fully fit Tielemans too it would suit all of them.
