FoxesWalk Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Looking forward to us lumping it to Vards every game and Shakey looking bewildered as to why it doesn’t work now he has lost a few yards of pace. 2
Dames Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 This is better than Marsch on a 3 and a half year deal but only because its an interim appointment.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Ffs people will moan whatever the choice. I swear some of you fkrs literally just enjoy moaning " Looks like Pep fancies the challenge" " what's he gonna do with just 8 games to change things, sack the board " 2 1
CheeseHead Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 I think it is a bit of a concern as to how a new incoming interim manager(s) perceive Jamie Vardy, would they really be up to speed with how ineffective he is on his own up front these days? Especially with regards to Shakespeare and his previous association with the club and Vardy. It was horrifying to see that Sadler and Stowell seemed to have learned absolutely nothing from watching us up close this season. I know Iheanacho and Daka can be very frustrating sometimes but we look far more likely to score when they play. 1
lifted*fox Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 bringing shakey back first with king nige to follow in the summer. 1 1

Guest Col city fan Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Is this the same Dean Smith who took Norwich down with a whimper and then got sacked?

South Shire Fox Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 If this happens we are down 100 percent. If its Rafa weve got a chance. The players arent going to believe in a manager sacked from the Championship 4
Larry_LCFC Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 At this point they are just picking names out of a ****ing hat. Get us a permanent manager you utter clowns. I mean Dean Smith, really?
Popular Post Kitchandro Posted 10 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) IF it’s only interim, then fine. I don’t want him, but Smith on a short contract is preferable to any of our current options on a long contract. If the plan is to make the best of what we’ve got until the summer and then appoint someone better, with a better style of football and a bit of ambition, then maybe they are finally getting it. Again though, I doubt they will get that decision right as they seem bent on only appointing has-beens with Premier League experience. I always said going down was the price I was willing to pay to see the back of Rodgers. I’m still happy to pay that price to have a longer term possibility of attempting to play good attacking football with potential. Rafa for 2 years is a waste of everyone’s time. The players arent going to believe in a manager sacked from the Championship Top has to push hard for Rafa. He took Newcastle back up with limited budget, and would also give us the best chance to stay in the league too. If reports are true and two rounds of discussions have been held with Rafa, then he is obviously interested.

If the only permanent managers available are shit ones - which let's be honest, at this stage of the season and in our current position, they almost certainly are - then what's the point? 2

Yeah going into matches they are expected to win hence being favourites for Promotion before a ball is kicked believing in a Manager and getting off to a fairly good start. When the poor results came they couldn’t turn it around.
Number 6 Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Norwich have hardly kicked on since he left to be fair. A lot of comments I see from Villa fans are fairly positive.
Sunbury Fox Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) Will probably end up with Smith as permanent manager, even if he doesn't keep us up. The club is clueless. Edited 10 April 2023 by Sunbury Fox

This has to be the problem for sure. Rafa for instance… for fook’s sake, he was past his best 5 years ago! There seems to be a real shortage of managers to go for at the moment.

Nobody's going to come along and think 'Ah, Jamie Vardy - I remember he was really good when Leicester won the league seven years ago, he's the first name on my teamsheet...'

You would have thought that Sadler and Stowell would have the most intimate knowledge on the subject! 3
