Going to be honest, Hamza is piss poor. 

 

We've seen it season after season, he offers very little. He's a lower end Champ player. I'd rather us pick someone else up, bit more inspiring.

He's not piss poor in the Championship though and that's where we'll be and we'll need squad depth. Not necessarily saying he should start every game or he's massively inspiring, just if the money is tight and it's the difference between strengthening another position then I'd sooner we did that.

We need new blood at the club. Hamza has been here for a while now without really featuring much, he needs moving on. 
The club needs to start again, we need as many of the old guard gone as possible.

If Hamza has had a good season why wouldn’t Watford sign him seeing as they contractually have first option on him over us?

Regardless of league, we need a first team influx of 6 starting regulars. A new identity, increased levels of hunger and desire, athletism...

 

This squad is a busted flush. We know who's going and who may be interesting to others. With what's left its a question of finding those who are willing and build around. If championship then far more get an opportunity clearly but they have to be mentally prepared for a different experience. 

 

We've discovered cost effective gems before, now more than ever do we need that luck/skill set.

We need to create an identity of attacking football with pace, possession and flair, and try and boss the Championship next season. Look towards Burnley for inspiration. 
 

I want some exciting wingers and a creative number 10 to be prioritised. Even if we don’t bounce back to the Premier League straight away, let’s have an exciting, young team to get behind.

Another Hamza suggestion?? If Watford don’t take up their option to buy then we certainly don’t want to start him for us. If he’s been any good Watford will be buying him.

But he's not out of contract is he? So he's still our player and we don't have to sell. That's assuming he'd sooner come back than join them of course.

Barnes will be gone mate.   35-40m to a top 8 prem club.

They have first option to buy him as soon as the transfer window opens. We’d only have him for his final year if Watford don’t take up their option. He signed the 1 year contract extension as part of the deal to enable the loan.

I’m pretty sure Hamza and his agent would’ve been very much involved in the agreement regarding the option to buy.

He will unless someone wants him, he wants to leave and we agree to sell. He could quite easily do a Tielemans and run his contract down.

I think I would still happily keep him as a squad player next season if / when we go down for that 1 year

 

We are going to have to sign at least 10 players in the summer, having Hamza in the squad means we can put more money into other signings / a first choice defensive mid

 

Starter for a mid table Watford, had an alright season, would be fine as a back up squad player for us
