Still not having it that this is a compelling title race. Man City have been behind once in eight games or something and regularly hit four goals. Barely any jeopardy.

They do have previous for nearly buggering up routine last day home matches but cannot see it.

To be fair Man.Cit doing the 4 in a row would be as historic as Lance Armstrong  winning 7 tours in a row!!! Nothing dodgy or illegal at all!

Brighton will finish between 10th and 13th. I know that's amazing for a small club like them but Brighton get hyped like crazy.

If Newcastle finish below chaotic Chelsea and Man Utd I don’t think Howe could have any complaints at being given the heave ho!

Makes the Fa's search for a new manager easy. Howe would be nailed on to get the post after the summer.

I listen to an Athletic podcast yesterday about Newcastle, and the Newcastle representative on it was taking as if they were plucky little Hartlepool United who fluked their way to where they are.

They had 71 points last season. They're currently on 57 points. They've lost 14 games this season. That's 37% of their league games.

I don't have a strong opinion on Howe either way, but he's got some pretty good players. Isak, Botman, Bruno Guimaraea, Livramento, Tonali, Anthony Gordon, Harvey Barnes. I know they've had injuries but so have half the league.

There's a stubbornness in there for me that has always been an underlining niggle I have with him.

Livaramento and Hall are great examples. Excellent talents that he has had at his disposal but instead he has chosen to run players into the ground and get them injured. When they went through their big injury crisis mid season he had hall just sitting on the bench as he made the same 11 players play 3 or 4 games in a row with no subs!

He's also persisted with Burn for far too long (had a decent game tonight to be fair)

Shows how good a player Nick Pope is too, made Howe look like he'd learned how to set up a defence last season!

Newcastle owners be looking at what Emery has done at Villa with some envy.
next season the expectation is going to increase. Not sure Eddie can deliver that.

interesting how much trippier has regressed  I think the guy is burnt out. Gonna be a liability for England at this rate. Hats off to Villa for getting the job done clinching champions league football unlike rogers for 2 seasons in a row fizzling out

Surely Emery has just done what Howe did last season?

Emery has juggled a semi final run in Europe with finishing top 4.

It's pretty impressive.

The mad thing is that he went fairly full strength v Olympiacos and they got slapped 6-2 on aggregate. I just don't get it.

I suppose that deserves a bit more recognition but both have done well to turn their teams around. Both have also spent money but I possibly have overlooked the Emery turnaround from Gerrard, without even a transfer window(obviously has used them since)!

The fact sky sports have made a massive advert hyping up the final day, between City and Arsenal, just for TNT to be showing it and sky left with Chelsea and Liverpool is hilarious lol

Probably, but I imagine the main reason was Villa had their mind on the league.

I'm not having that if that match was played 100 times that Olympiacos would win anymore than 20% of the games.

The 1st leg villa really dropped the ball and made it unneccesarily difficult in the 2nd leg. The Greeks managed both games superbly probably down to past experience. Playing in Europe is a learning curve

Ps. I’d love for us to get another crack at a euro trophy. Don’t care which one either. We have unfinished business there

The Klopp love-in continues. Sky will absolutely milk it and it'll be embarrassing for everyone non-Liverpool based. Absolutely nothing riding on the game either lol

They've got 90 mins pre-show as well. It'll be insufferable. I won't be tuning in until 4:25pm.
