foxfanazer Posted 2 October 2023 Posted 2 October 2023 There's some seriously ****ed up people about. The guy clearly has no personality so has to stoop to these levels to get a laugh out of his equally braindead mates/family members
mancunianfox Posted 2 October 2023 Posted 2 October 2023 We'll he's admitted it in court so pretty much puts to bed any suggestions it was photoshopped. Not sure how waving a picture of a deceased child could be considered as banter, all pretty desperate really.

Langston Posted 2 October 2023 Posted 2 October 2023 Appreciate it’s one guy and a lot of their fans have rightly condemned this twat, but I really hope we give Wednesday an absolute shagging now.
CosbehFox Posted 2 October 2023 Posted 2 October 2023 Tbf to Wednesday's supporters, a lot of them have donated to related charities. 4

Ohhh okay, this is the part I missed cheers. I thought the uproar on someone just screenshotting a group chat was well over the top. Actually doing that in person at a game is pretty mental. The guy definitely needs to get himself to a therapist and figure out how he's got to a point where he think that's some top notch banter. Social media seems to be quite rife with 16-25 year old's struggle to tell the difference between dark humour and being a dick. Saying that, grief chanting has always happened for at least as long as I've followed football, so it's not a new thing. Football will always be a magnet for societies morons. I always feel like the reaction is massively OTT on these things mind. All that needs is genuinely sincere apology from the guy a ban till the end of the season as punishment. Not a fan of how it just ends up being a competition about who can be most outraged. People with no stake in it seem to want the person's life to basically be unlivable. 1

I hope we do to every team to increase our prospects but this incident has not had any bearing on that. These guys are not supporters of Wednesday and will not have any worse a day if Wednesday lose football matches.

I feel like I agree with you on almost everything else you post but I simply can't agree with this. As a parent of young children I can't imagine the pain of losing them to something so horrendous and for a moron like this to publicly mock it would be crushing to see. And for what? A cheap laugh from his mate or to wind up some opposition fans. It's utterly deplorable in my eyes. I don't think an apology from a person with that mentality quite cuts it but I do agree there's a limit to the punishment he can receive. A nice hefty fine with the money going to the Bradley Lowery foundation would be nice to see Edited 2 October 2023 by foxfanazer 4
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 October 2023 Posted 2 October 2023 Actually remember a Leicester fan shouting to Norwich keeper Bryan Gunn about his daughter who died, twats everywhere I’m afraid.

A nice hefty fine with the money going to the Bradley Lowery foundation would be nice to see It's incredibly emotive to be fair, it's going to upset certain demographics more than others so I totally get your standpoint mate. It's drunken stupidity and incredibly hurtful. We just have to be careful. I've seen his number shared on twitter, people will be contacting his work trying to get him sacked and messaging his family. It just always ends up being a witch hunt and tbh the people jumping on the bandwagon are just as bad. They justify it by going "well he did the bad thing first" A fine or maybe 100 hours charity work would probably be fitting, I'm no judge or expert I'm just making it up as I go along lol. After the punishment though, you want the lad to come out the other end a better person and a line drawn under it if there is genuine remorse. 3

Not that I care I just think if you’re marketing a product and we’re slapping teams every week while we shouldn’t really be there, it’s probably really demotivating

Its actually a compliment that our quality is so high that the EFL has a completely different standard for us and what they expect from us to make TOTW.

Nothing is more motivating than being top of it.

I think it shows the motivation in that they planned to do it or had some intent. It's sick on a very basic level anyway even if it was a spur of the moment thing and if there was no chat about plans to do it. 28 minutes ago, filbertway said: It's incredibly emotive to be fair, it's going to upset certain demographics more than others so I totally get your standpoint mate. Guy has already lost his job as a window-fitter apparently. Might not even be a trial by media thing. His employer might have recognised him from the off and was shot of him before he turned up for work next day. The sharing of his personal data is a different matter altogether and not something I agree with. I doubt he'll get prison for it. And I don't think prison time befits the offence. But he's made a name for himself for all the wrong reasons and his face will be recognisable for a few weeks/months. Imagine bumping in to him and you have a sick relative to a similar disease, it'd take a lot not to want to knock his lights out. I saw someone mention that he should be taken to a hospital ward where children are suffering from cancer. That'll him hit harder than any stadium ban or community service, and you'd hope that visit would be with him for the rest of his life. 4

Unfortunately there are too many hateful people out there. I don't like trying to blame it on drink either. That is dodging personal responsibility. I do agree that a witch hunt is not required. Hopefully a thoughtful and apt penalty will be applied.
